Asphalt is a composite material that is commonly used for parking lots, driveways, and roads. Asphalt is used as a binder, and is mixed with mineral aggregate, then is carefully laid down in layers, compacted, then cured, so it can last for many, many years. Asphalt is the choice for highways and paved roads in America as nearly ninety five percent of the highways and paved roads are asphalt concrete.
Sealcoating is used for the protection and preservation of asphalt pavement. Sealcoating is applied directly to the asphalt pavement's surface. The sealcoating will seal the top of the asphalt, which will prevent water, oil, gasoline, and any chemicals from penetrating the surface along with preventing any oxidation from the sun, air or elements of Mother Nature.
Tar and Chip Paving, also referred to as "Chip Sealing" Paving, is the most economical method of street and pavement resurfacing. It is commonly used by municipalities, retail centers and office complexes throughout North America. Tar and Chip Paving is comparable to other resurfacing methods in durability and effectiveness, but costs far less (25-40% cost reduction vs. pavement overlays).

I finished building my house in January 2021 and I was extremely cautiously to choose a company that would pave my driveway out of the many options out there.
I was not wrong. I really feel that the commitment and professionalism of Dave and his team is beyond standards.
The quality of the work, the timeliness and the level of detail at the edges is impressive. Dave's great team was working until 9 p.m. because they were committed to completing the job that same day.
Highly recommended.
