Our first install with Empower in 2016 was a great experience. When we moved last year we knew we needed panels again. The process could not have been more simple, sales, project management, were all great again this time, and had us up and running on new years eve! I chose EmPower as they had a supposed good reputation for customer care. When I first engaged with them they where quick to respond with a quote. However, their follow up has been appalling. Their sales person (Cam Kelly) promised to follow up with a revised quote for a canopy system. He consequently went away for two weeks without informing me (or setting an out of office reply). When he got back, he apologized and promised a quote that day or the following day at the latest. After a few days of not receiving it, I followed up again and have heard nothing. We are very happy with the whole process. If not for COVID and installation having to get pushed back, I would rate my experience as close to perfection as possible. Scott McDonnell was honest, caring and transparent as a salesperson. I never felt like he tried to sell me, but to educate me as to why solar was a good decision. When installation happened, I couldn't be happier with Dean, Gerard and their crew (sorry guys I forgot the other names). We haven't had a sunny day since I installed and we are still generating power and happy.

Since the events in this review, Empower conducted a review of the situation. They recognized that their customer service employees could have handled the situation better and identified Solar Edge's lackluster fulfillment of the warranty as the root of the problem. While I accept that Empower will work to improve its customer service and I accept that much of the blame belongs with Solar Edge, I cannot give 4 or 5 stars as this is a problem capable of repeating itself as long as Solar Edge is involved.

My solar was installed last week. First a short boring description of how I ended up with EmPower (and so glad I did)! I did a lot of searching for solar companies. I almost signed with one company but after investigating that company, I saw a warning from the BBB (the Better Business Bureau) warning consumers that the particular company I was researching failed to respond to informational requests. I stalk yelp reviews for one meal, so you can imagine how much research I did prior to going solar and furthermore, choosing Empower. Empower was the second of three top Long Island companies we "interviewed" and Matt Brill killed it. Matt's knowledge, passion and ultimately his product blew his competitors away. I could go into some of the specifics as to why we chose Empower . . . a mini inverter on each solar panel as opposed to one for the entire system, the ability to source over 100% of our energy from solar (dependent on sunny skies) or the mere fact that they also presented

I've been "hooked up" with Empower since late August. My "normal" PSEG bill was over $300 a month with a budget payment that only knew one way to go - UP! My Sept, Oct and Nov bills were $17, $11 and $51, the latter with all the cloudy/rainy days. Can't wait 'til I get a year under my belt - I'll be paying practically nothing. Salesman Ed O'Brien was the absolute best to deal with. The independent electrical inspector told me EMPOWER always goes well above and beyond what is required by code. Empower Solar is GREAT! We got our solar panels installed about 4 years ago and we LOVE them. We could not be happier with the decision to use EmPower solar. They really are a great company, their customer service is amazing and they are very professional to work with. EmPower Solar is a premiere solar designer and installer. Their design team worked closely with us to design the perfect system for our new construction. The EmPower installation team is second to none. The team was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and incredibly hard working. They left the site in better condition than when they arrived. Solar is definately the way to go if you are a home owner, and EmPower is head and shoulders above all other solar companies in the Tri-State area.

Four words: $5 ELECTRIC BILLS!!!! That's what I pay on average each and every Month for the last two years. Large house, Central A/C set at 70. Owning the system is the way to go and look no further than EMPOWER. I did my research and they are the best. Call them, ask for Sales, say hi and say goodbye to high electric bills. $60 a year is all I pay. No Lease, No Problems.

I already solar panels installed 2 yrs ago by EmPower Solar. I am very pleased with the system. The system is generating more Kwh that we expected based on proposed numbers. Exra energy that is generated reimbursed to us with a nice check once a year by ConEd. I only pay maintenence to ConEd which is less then $10 a month. I am very happy that with help of EmPower solar I helped to save earth from pollusion and saved trees. I checked several local complanies and compared the services and prices, EmPower solar stands out with providing a great service and has a high quality panels.
