Terrible experience.
I bought a Kozy Heat gas fireplace that was missing two parts and Sarah was too “overwhelmed” to get them to me. The following is the email I wrote to her. She never responded.
“Dealing with you has been unaccepting bad. You’ve apologized twice with the excuse that things are “overwhelming.” But when I buy something, I don’t want to do business with someone who is to “overwhelmed” to help when there is a problem.
I do understand that things are different because of the pandemic, but the pandemic is no excuse not to answer the phone and not to respond. You

I had to hire another fireplace professional to finish what Green Mountain Fireplace left behind after GMF installed a new Kozy Heat gas fireplace originally. The issues: an electric outlet plate left in plastic bag obviously never installed, exposed live electric wires without safety caps, the questionable claim that the fireplace worked when GMF left the property and someone else must have damaged the fireplace afterwards. My new vendor explained to me that the fireplace appeared to work on the battery powered secondary backup system, but the electric outlet powered primary system was never installed

I dealt with Sarah throughout this process of purchasing my first gas stove (Kozy Heat Birchwood) and I definitely enjoyed working with her. She is very knowledgeable both in sales and technical Installation; I also really liked that this was her family business, as I am in a family business as well. They worked within my budget and the guys that did the Installation did a really great job. Very clean, nice quality work. I would definitely work with Sarah and her team again.

We have been helped in the purchase of a gas fireplace unit, by both well-informed sales people and technicians involved in delivery and installation. We made many visits to the store before making the purchase decision, never getting a hint that our visits were considered too many. And when the delivery arrived, our contractor had not made adequate advance preparations. The employees delivering, and at the store, were pleasant to us after that experience, and worked to resolve things well. We appreciated them going the extra mile.

We recently purchased a Stuv insert for our home and we were very pleased with the selection, pricing and service offered by GMF. We had an unusual firebox size which made selection of the right unit a challenge. Sarah and team worked with us to make sure we installed a unit that fit the space, looked great in the room and provided the heating quality we needed.
