Our garage door’s cable snapped, forcing us to manually open/close it while we searched for a garage door repair company...
First company came - Long Island Garage Service - and gave us a ridiculous estimate of $675. He explained how the entire door would have to be removed and the assembly reconstructed. All this could happen in a half hour and the work would be guaranteed for 90 days. He made a quick phone call “to the office” and was able to knock $100 off the price because I told him the price was outrageous. We ultimately told him to (politely) get lost, as we felt we were being taken

They recently installed a new garage door opener at my house. I was having issues with the garage door properly opening a few days after the installation, at which they came back to fix it which took about 5 minutes and they charged me a $80 service fee. Then I was having another issue with the my garage door not opening properly a few days later and I contacted them. They said they would be there the following afternoon. When I tried to contact them they didn't answer my phone calls or texts.

If i could give ZERO stars , i would . The provider was assigned to me by Sears home warranty. When i got a call, it was determined that the repair would not be. part of home warranty, Jose suggested to cancel the claim and just him coming for a service call "after 3PM today". I did that. Jose asked for my address and which area of San Diego we are in. Said that he would call closer to that time with the better timing estimate. Said that they are in business for 25 years and have good reviews (when i asked to compare themselves to Garage Door Medics which i previously used).

I was frantic last night as it was storming and my garage door was stuck open. It was after 10 PM. I have boxes, things to pack every where. Some items cannot get wet. I started calling for help. The only person who immediately answered was Joe. I am not young. Have had countless people here to work but I have NEVER had anyone be as kind, knowledgeable, efficient, professional as Joe is. I cannot recommend Joe at JD Garage Doors enough. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a service company. Realized this morning (Sunday) that one of the springs and cables on our garage door snapped. I found Joe on Yelp, called and left a message and assumed I would get a call back during the week. Joe called me an hour later, offered to come the next day, which I thought was great that he even offered that. Unfortunately my schedule wouldn't work, then Joe offered to come today... like in 30 minutes. He came to my house, explained everything and even showed me a safety

Joe responded to my inquiry regarding replacing my old garage motor with a new one within a few minutes. He explained everything thoroughly over the phone and gave me a few options to think about. I called him back a few minutes later and the very next day he arrived and did the job as promised in a timely and professional manner. Joe is awesome! He had the opportunity to charge me for additional parts and make more money and he told me that I was better off waiting and not spending the extra cash. He was on-time and efficient. He knew what he was doing. The whole thing was quick and easy. I needed someone. He was there in 2 hours. I would highly recommend him and I'm sure I will use him again!

Joe responded immediately and arrived the same day. He explained what needed to be done and offered suggestions. We decided on a new door and scheduled for three days later. 2 Days later he had an opening in his schedule and came out and did the replacement. He was professional and neat and cleaned up all debris. Again he showed us all repairs and now we have a perfect, brand new door. Do not hesitate to use JD Garage Doors, pricing was more than fair.
