At Cityside Automotive Locksmith in Greater Boston, we have heavily invested in the best equipment to handle working on the majority of vehicles on the road today. In this section, we will go into more detail on some of our more common residential services. We always aim to repair a lock versus replacing a lock. We do this because it is more resourceful and cost effective. Truth be told, not all locks warrant repair- some are not serviceable or are of low quality and should be replaced.

I had a great experience with Brian - I scheduled work with him for late in the afternoon, and when he was running late by a half hour, he gave me a call. Swooped in, made some great suggestions, had everything he needed already in his truck, and knocked out a the work quickly, professionally, and efficiently, with no problems, and for a very reasonable rate for the scope of the job. Wow! Would call him again, no question about it.

Perfect! Our patio door lock needed to be repaired and eventually replaced. It was an Anderson door from Home Depot that never worked great and that neither the installer nor manufacturer could make work for us 9 years ago following initial installation. It had loose components that I had MacGyvered into working for the first 9 years. This time I couldn't find any way to restore it and was so glad to find Brian at Cityside. He was pleasant and informative by phone and he was prompt and effective in person. He'd had enough experience with problem doors like ours and had a solution ready

I wanted to modernize the front door to my house, but the presence of an old style antique lock would have made doing so myself very difficult. I called Brian from Cityside Locksmith to see how much he would quote me on changing from an antique to a keypad lock, and the price was reasonable. Brian showed up on time, did the job in an hour, and I found that the keypad lock was super duper convenient. Brian was very friendly and had no trouble doing the work. I highly recommend Cityside Locksmith. Brian did such an amazing job that I would call him again if I needed anything else!

We were locked out today during this dismal day in the rain and Cityside was here in what seemed like minutes to get us back in. They also rekeyed our locks as we lost our keys on the way home, thus causing the lock out. Overall very happy and would definitely use again!

I was looking to have the locks on my business changed. Received a price from another company that seemed reasonable but decided to call another company for one more price. Brian came in more than $200 cheaper and was able to come the same day to perform the work. Incredibly fair price, exceptional service and overall quality of work is very good. We needed locks re-keyed on several doors and scheduled an appointment for relatively late in the afternoon for Brian to come out and take care of things for us. We wound up being available earlier than expected so we called Brian again and asked if he would be able to fit us in earlier in the afternoon, and he was able to squeeze us in a few hours before our original appointment.
Brian was great, punctual (he beat me to my own house!), friendly, and worked very quickly! Extra points for bringing the lock cylinders back inside on a towel to help keep our floors clean!

Needed our front and back doors (4 locks total) rekeyed with a new home purchase and read about Cityside here on Yelp. The glowing reviews are absolutely warranted! I called Brian on a Monday morning and he was able to come by the same afternoon (during a pandemic and severe storms, no less) and get the job done. Brian was prompt, professional, and was able to get the task done in less than an hour. Definitely recommended giving Cityside a call next time you need a locksmith!

I lost all my keys and needed a replacement key for my 2004 Jetta. It wasn't really an emergency, and my local locksmith's couldn't get to the job for a while, so reached outside my immediate area for quotes.
A 2006 Jetta would be quoted much differently than a 2004, and Brian knew the difference. He was able to provide an accurate quote in a very timely manner and showed a level of knowledge not demonstrated by some of his competitors.

I gave Cityside Locksmith a call for an investment property in Malden. A tenant let me know their back door was no longer latching correctly. Cityside came out promptly, fixed the issue, and actually found and fixed a different issue while at the same call after both speaking to the tenant and contacting me. Their pricing was reasonable, they were highly responsive, and I will definitely use Cityside Locksmith for my future lock needs.

I contacted Brian yesterday about getting my locks changed in my new house. I could tell right off the bat that he was not trying to make a dime off of me as he explained rekeying the locks instead of changing out the whole lock. I of course was hoping for the service to be done today as I had the day off. Brian was flexible to make this work!
Unfortunately, the locks on my door are discontinued and they could not be serviced. Brian had two new sets in his truck that he was able to swap my existing ones out for- and were SO much better and durable! He took his time to make sure the locks aligned

Absolutely phenomenal service. I had a botched installation from Amazon Home Services for a lock I bought on Amazon. He came out half an hour after I called, told me everything the Amazon guy had screwed up and fixed the installation perfectly (including adding a few extra backplates for added security). Truly outstanding, prompt and professional service. Would highly recommend for any needs!

Ever since the management of the building that I have moved to walked inside my unit with out being announced, I've wanted to change the front doors lock. I called several locksmiths from yelp, they all almost had the same answer that I could not rekey unless I changed the entire lock. Cityside was the last person whom I spoke with. He made some recommendations, but living among so many people in a condominium I was not sure if I wanted to go that rout! Instead I decided to change the entire door knobs to the two bedrooms.
