Services
Thank you for your interest in Hawaiian Pools! With over three decades in business, we are the leading residential and commercial swimming pool builder in Ohio and Michigan. Our portfolio includes new pool and spa construction, renovations, service & maintenance. Hawaiian Pools builds custom Shotcrete (Gunite/Concrete) swimming pools and spas and fiberglass pools.
Each year the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) holds an industry-sponsored awards program where pool builders anonymously send in their projects for judging. Judges are made up of other APSP Member Builders and they evaluate each contractor's submissions with no knowledge of whom they are judging for optimal impartiality.
Planning your pool is perhaps the most important part of the process for any individual or family. A pool that is uniquely yours will be thoroughly enjoyed because it was built to suit your needs and desires. A well designed backyard can significantly increase your living space, and having the proximity of a vacation spot right outside your back door can be the best stress reliever in the world!
Hawaiian Pools builds Shotcrete pools, which is an extremely solid and heavy-duty type of concrete. Many in the pool industry use and have used for decades the word Gunite, therefore that is the word most people know. The end-result of both products is the same whether you install Gunite or Shotcrete.
Hawaiian Pools is proud to offer a wide selection of amazing fiberglass pool designs by Thursday Pools. In addition to their quality, fiberglass pools offer a variety of designs that fit your needs and style. Many traditional models are available as well as those with sun ledges, beach entry, and shallow & deep end benches.

Absolutely garbage. It started out great until they got their last payment from us. Good luck getting any help from them. Pool shell developed a blemish. They never had time to come out and take a picture to get it fixed. I ended getting ahold of manufacturer and got it fixed myself. Concrete cracked at multiple areas and we were told. " Too bad that's what happens in nw Ohio" stay away!!!!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
We've had Hawaiian Pools close our pool once and open it twice. Thus last opening they never turned the pool on, didn't put water into the pool, and obviously lied on their report since the pool is not running. Do not use this company until they start valuing the customer and making amends for poor service.

We have had our pool for almost 3yrs now and have scheduled with Hawaiian Pools the past two years to open it every summer. For two years in a row, we have confirmed the date for the pool opening by us calling them. The date has come and gone once again.
I called this afternoon at 3pm to verify they were still coming out today and was told “yes, they are at the stop before you. You are next.“ Come 5 o’clock, we get a phone call they overbooked for the day and will not be able to make it. The same exact thing happened last year. Scheduled for a certain day and was told they overbooked, wouldn’t

**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY**
My husband and I had Hawaiian pools install a new residential pool in the fall of 2016. During the installation process, mistakes and poor workmanship was on constant display and a running theme by this company. They had completely forgotten to install the planned deck jets and when this was discovered, the concrete had already been poured. They were forced to be installed in our yard, which has posed major inconveniences ie. pool fence required to be taken down every single time in order just to use this function and the caps on the jets constantly being churned up

My original pool was 53 years old, extremely bad shape, had been closed up for years, covered and a real eyesore. It took awhile for Hawaiian Pool personnel to figure out how to renovate this pool and get started. I'm surprised Mike and Brenda, owners, didn't just say "no". There were so many issues to be solved and undertaking this project was a real problem. Weeds grew out of the sides of the pool, parts of the sides fell in, ground water was seeping in, and other problems too numerous to list. Creatures, such as frogs and snakes loved the pool just the way it was! Personnel from Hawaiian, Dwayne

I'm torn between giving this company 3 stars or 4. We really struggled throughout the project for a number of reasons. Communication was terrible. Also, one of the crew members yelled at my son, who is only 5 for getting in his way. We didn't even know they had come to work on the pool, another example of poor communication, and they didn't like that my son was playing in and around the job site. It IS our home, and our yard and a safe environment and he had every right to be out there, assuming they weren't there working. Then there were a few quality issues but they were all resolved eventually
