In 1990, Larry Mauldin began offering cultured marble to local builders and remodelers out of the garage of his Lake Oconee home. After retiring from a corporate job in Atlanta and relocating his family to the lake, Mauldin saw a lot of potential for growth. He knew that once others discovered the beauty and lifestyle at Lake Oconee, more and more homes would follow.
As a family-owned and operated business, our values translate directly into our customer service experience. We believe our greatest asset is our associates and we work hard to provide quality training and encourage opportunities for growth. For over two generations of ownership, our company has served on the board of directors for the Lake Oconee Builders Association.
Simply looking at a 12" x 12" sample doesn't give the whole story of how a particular material looks. That's why we house over 250 colors of full-sized slabs and 6,000 square feet of tile for customers to view on site. Still waiting on an ETA, they do not know. This company is so bad, I had another company come in, template my kitchen counter tops and install it in the amount I am waiting on them to FINISH the two 36" vanity sinks as they either forgot or broke the back splash. Very poor communication. It has been almost a month now.

We absolutely love our countertops from Marbleworks! We have had them for over a year now and they are still just as beautiful as the day they were installed. The installation team did a fantastic job and they were very easy to work with. They had such a wide variety to choose from that I was able to find the perfect countertops and tile for our home and very easy to work with. Do yourself a favor and go to them; you won’t regret it. We highly recommend them!

Unless you want to perform all of the leg work, I advise against doing business with this company. I placed an order almost three weeks ago and had to follow up a week later for a purchase order so I could make the deposit payment. I was told they were short handed and sorry for the delay. My install date was to be on a Friday, I called that day to verify and it was confirmed I was on the install list for that day. A few hours later, I received a call to say they had a big order to install and they may or may not make it that day. If not, the installers would definitely be there the next working

The shower pan was too short and too narrow. The drain hole was over a floor joist. The pan does not drain. The curb drains into the bathroom floor instead of the shower pan. The corner seat cannot be installed because it does not fit properly. They refused to repour the shower pan and they refused to install the corner seat. Poor workmanship and defective product.

They are a great company! When we updated our kitchen we looked at going back with a non-granite counter top like we had, but were pleasantly surprised at the pricing to put in the granite. My wife loves the new granite counter tops. It totally transformed a blah kitchen into a great looking one! Highly recommended! - Doug Davidson
