The entrepreneurial spirit of the Keller family began in 1948 when Nelson Keller started Gas & Electrical Equipment Company. Over the years, Gas & Electrical Equipment Company, continued to grow and developed into a full service distribution company to meet the fast and growing needs of retailers and contractors alike.
Through the years, Nelson Keller continued to grow his fledgling distributorship to not only include electrical supplies and water heaters, but adapted the company to the changing times, eventually providing a full line of major appliances, electronics, stoves and fireplaces.Upon Nelson's retirement, his son Edward Keller became president of the company and continued to build upon the foundation laid by his father.

We install, service, and design all brands of fireplaces. Fireplace Place also works closely with builders, architects, and designers to meet all your fire needs. Fireplace Place is National Fireplace Institute(NFI) and Fireplace Installer Training(FITS) certified. We hold our installers to some of the highest standards in the business.

After paying for numerous service calls and replacing parts our unit was determined to be defective. The last service call last winter resulted in a temporary solution being given to lift the glass each time before use and the trim pieces and screws were left in the floor. Brian sent Joe out here who promised he would resolve the issue before this winter. I contacted him all summer. We are now having to take all the documentation and file in small claims to get a judgment to replace the unit and have heat in our home since it was new.

My contractor ordered a remote control gas fireplace insert for my home 8/5/20 & it was installed 9/10/20. It worked several times but the control box was installed too close to the heat of the flames & the box melted. On 12/22/20, they ordered another control box that didn't come in until 3/18/21 & finally fixed 3/19/21. I've never been to this business so I'm not sure they are set up for retail, wholesale or what so just beware if you use them.

Absolutely awful company. Did shotty work installing one of my 2 fireplaces and since I'm a few months out of my warranty (I've been trying to get the info from my builder as to who installed the fireplaces for months now) they refuse unless I pay them $99 just for the initial estimate. The lady on the phone even told me that they did not start the system up when they installed due to us not having a gas Meter yet. Every time we turn the fireplace on, it cakes black smoke/soot all over the glass and does not heat the house at all. They also sprayed black "high heat" paint inside

I contacted Fireplace Place to service my fireplace for the winter they installed. The technician came flipped the switch turned on the fireplace and cleaned the glass and said ma’am I have to collect the $99 now.
When asked that’s all you did, the response was well I cleaned the glass of your fireplace. I called to understand why if I scheduled for my fireplace to be serviced why would my invoice state - show how to operate. My fireplace pilot was already lit and all I have to do is flip the switch to start it so I wouldn’t need to call someone to show me how to cut it on. I was told that

Service technician came out on 11/22/19 and determined what parts needed to be ordered. I paid 145.00 for a service call that lasted 15 min. According to technician, the price included his return trip to fix the fireplace. I have never received a call to setup return to finish. The receipt left didn’t have a contact number for Fireplace Place. I had to look that up and left a message. They have yet to call back. What’s bad is, I took off duty to be home for this. Absolutely horrible customer service. Please find someone else besides this place.

I have found Brian to be very knowledgeable about available fireplaces, the right size of fireplace needed, the heat output of each fireplace, the ambiance of the fireplaces and how to safely install in numerous situations. He also is very keen on outdoor fire pits and fireplaces. Highly recommend his products and services.

We built a new outdoor fireplace and Brian and Company showed us exactly what would work for us and how easy with a flip of a switch. Brian came and set the logs up got us looking so great and all with such a friendly knowledgeable manner. I highly recommend him and this company to all my friends and family.
