Accessibility requirements triggered this renovation, but the Winchester Boat Club took the opportunity to re-think and re-plan the entire facility. Beginning with a series of visioning and programming charrettes, the Club set a new direction for their building. The gut renovation of the hundred year old building allowed them to solve long standing structural, organizational, and ventilation problems.
Opening up the second floor and adding a new deck at the second level made these areas much more useful. The addition of insulation and heat will allow the Club to extend their active season. This waterfront home had good bones, but needed updating. A full interior renovation updated systems and finishes throughout the home.
