How should I prepare my home for a chimney sweep service? CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep you have hired arrives at your home, they will ask about the doors and windows. They will request that all the exterior doors and windows be closed. They will request the opening of exterior doors and windows be avoided during the sweep service.
It is our responsibility to assist and educate our customers through the hearth appliance purchase process. For this reason, hearth sales are done through an in-home consultation. Select items are sold in conjunction with our online store. This ensures we are helping our customers with recommendations that would be most appropriate for their home, type of fireplace system, and best meets their preferences and needs.

Absolutely amazing service! They came out promptly the first time, inspected the chimney, and told me what was wrong, as well as showed me the photos to back it up. They were ver helpful in scheduling my appointment to fix the problems. They were also very transparent about their wait times. I was never left in the dark about anything. The price was great, too! The day Steven came out, he took the time to explain everything he was going to do, and welcomed questions. I will definitely be using Mid Carolina Chimney Service for years to come!

After having a fire in our chimney, we had Steve referred to us to do the repairs. He came and gave us a couple of options, one of which included adding a new chimney cap and filling in some cracks on top of chimney. We accepted proposal and he estimated a 4 day process. While it did take 3 months for first available appointment, because of their busy schedule, they did arrive on the day scheduled and the repair took 1.5 days to complete. Steve and his helpers were so polite and efficient. They left our house clean and our chimney beautiful! Thank you for such a wonderful job! Would and have recommended

Steven came and inspected our chimney and roof and boots. He gave us a quote and it was great.
Cindy called a few days ahead to remind us of the appointment.
Steven came on time. He cleaned up when he was finished. Our fireplace is working beautifully. Roof boots are not leaking, replacement complete.

Steven came to our home for the estimate and spent a great deal of time inspecting the chimney, roof and attic before coming up with a game plan to repair the chimney leak. We were very pleased with the estimate and the time frame in which the work was to be complete. On the first day of the repair it called for rain that night Steven and his team stayed later into the evening just to make sure that they had completed enough work so that the chimney would not leak. Legitimately one of the most professional home related businesses I've dealt with since moving to Columbia. We had a chimney fire last December and called Mid Carolina Chimney Service to see what we had to do to fix the chimney. Steven came to our house and inspected the chimney and told us what we needed to do to repair it. They came today to install HeatShield Flue Sealant. They arrived on time at 8:30 and finished at 6:00. I must say that Steven is extremely organized, he and his associate Jeff were extremely careful laying out drop cloths and sealing off the chimney so no debris would enter the house. My wife and I are very happy with the service and I highly recommend Mid Carolina Chimney Service

This review is late in coming, as I am about to make the call for my next service. Steven cleaned the chimney of my wood-burning stove and also my dryer vent a few years ago. My laundry room is on 2nd floor and vent runs along crawl space to outside. He did an excellent job and was tidy about it too. He was prompt and courteous and that is why I am calling Mid Carolina again.
