The internet is honestly the worst. Every time the wind blows it goes out. The quality has just gitten worse and worse and I feel we are getting ripped off. I know that out where i live we are getting fiber optic cable put in but it just isn't working as good as they say it does.

I use to get internet through the cable company. When everyone got cell phones, Yelcot was going to go broke. So they bought the cable co and changed the internet to run through the phone lines. So now I have to spend about $50 a month extra for a phone, I never use.

The people at the desk are great. Especially Ms Kristie. The service has been rock solid for the 3.5 or so years I've lived here. I own my own modem, so no leasing their locked down, 30 dollar modem for 5 bucks a month. I'd give it 2 stars were it not for the excellent people working for them, but they'd get 5 stars if they'd get with the times. Using the same technology and generation of DSL, AT&T offers 45 MBPS for around 60 a month. Without requiring a home phone. That, and not having to deal with Entergy, are perhaps things I miss most about the city life. When the phone company and cable companies

Worst and slowest internet ever. They need to be flushed out of Marion County and be replaced with Sudden Link. I wouldn’t wish this internet provider on my worse enemy. That’s how bad it is. Unfortunately, as long as I live here, it’s my only option (which I hate).

It's a shame there's no 0 star. Yelcot has had poor internet for a LONG time. Constant spikes of over 1000ms, terrible support, and overpriced packages. They don't even advertise the somewhat "good" packages. Support isn't even a thing. A couple guys that know little about networking.
Problem with your modem? "Something is wrong with your brand new router. Not our modem."
All of yellville's internet turns off sudenly?
Sporadic "maintainences" at any given hour.
Still a problem that's very obviously the modem?
"It's still your router. Since you're made of money, go buy a new one."

Worst internet provider I've ever had the experience of dealing with. Consistent 800ms latency spikes and terrible service from people who know nothing about how computers, let alone the internet, work are what you have to look forward to if you plan on signing up with Yelcot.
