They want insurance check turned over to them and signed off before they will even start the project so I have no way of knowing it will be completed and the temporary repair that they charged over $800 to put some plastic (2 guys 2 Hours) on my roof has never stopped the water from coming into my garage Kate and Steve are both non responsive and… have terrible customer skills. Have asked several times to speak to Mike and hes always to busy to speak with Customers and former employees of this business which I was long before the current ownership. I am the Facilities Manager at Cherry Street Mission Ministries and we needed a wall built so that our head chef could have a private office space. I called Mike and he was incredibly generous in lining this work up for us. He had his framers in the following Thursday, they had the wall built, door frame installed, wall insulated and drywalled in 1 day! The following day the drywall finisher was out and had his work completed in a day. Our chef had a new office in 2 days time! J&R's work is phenomenal, they tied the new wall into an existing wall and matched the texture so perfectly it looks like

Great workers but the office side is a joke. Very irresponsible with dealing with the insurance company. work has been done on the house for 6 months and still getting calls from my insurance company because they have not submitted alot of the paperwork to my insurance company.

So far this company has been “Johnny on the spot” and their efforts to get my restoration project started admid the COVID-19 pandemic is simply an amazing thing to witness if you ask me! In particular, those who came to do the work in our house were very accommodating of our needs--which we really appreciated. The quality of the work which they did for us was outstanding. Fantastic people to work with! We needed some mold remediation done on our house, and a crew was out very quickly and got to work thoroughly cleaning every square inch of the affected areas. The crews were clean, courteous, and professional. Everything looks fantastic now and the air quality tests returned excellent results. I've heard a number of good stories from friends that have used their services as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

My elderly mother has been strung along for over 5 months since paying a 50% deposit in May. She hired them to fix a big hole in her roof after a storm knocked a tree into the roof. It seems they take advantage of those who are older and perhaps more trusting. Each time she calls them they promise to call her back later that week with a start date. This has been happening for months. Meanwhile there is a huge gaping hole in her roof as winter approaches. Empty promises to complete a job won't keep her warm and dry in the cold northern Ohio winter. I only wish she had pulled me into the process

I can't say enough about J &R Contracting. They have been great to work with. They were out at my home within an hour of the call placed to them with a crew to start cleaning up the water in my basement and removing contents. Ever single person that I have interacted with is personable, professional and thorough. I do not hand out praises easily and I'm telling you this company is top notch.

Working with J&R was great. When I first called when we had water problems with our house they had an estimator out within the hour and the crew to do the mitigation was soon to follow. The crew they had show up was great. It is always nice having someone in your house working that you can see they are knowledgeable about how to take care of the issue. If you have any issues at your home please be sure to call them and get the same response and satisfaction that I did.

Emily is a poor example of manager, there was, no commitment to time , communication, organizational skills, for example she had the floor boards put down by carpenters then days later had the painter come out. that is out order, I shouldn't of had to hear from the workers who was to come next, there was time that a contractor would come… for an hour and leave, the next contractor for next part of project could have came that same day. she never returned phone calls, I had to get to the point of calling every few hours to get the job started let alone to get someone there. I have been waiting

I honestly don’t know how they have so many good reviews...my family has been getting the run around on when our home will be completed for months now. Please just complete it for the love of god! We are 6 months into this and still hearing “next week we will let you know.” Communication is very poor. The work that is done is well done but we are having to inspect everything bc a lot of things are halfway done if at all. Maybe use someone else if you need a job done well in a timely manner. 🤷🏻♀️

We recently had J&R repair a 4-inch hole in our roof and the interior ceiling. J&R was on time for their appointments and met our schedule. Dan did a thorough job on scoping and estimating the work. Justin did a great job on repairing the hole in the roof and matching the shingles before we received significant rain. Rick and Ricky also did a great job on repairing the interior ceiling hole in the drywall and matching the finish so that one could not tell where the hole had been. We have been working with them for MONTHS to fix our home after water damage. Things are STILL not completed (sink hooked up) despite call at least weekly to have it resolved. No one will handle it and every time you speak to someone they tell you it will be done next week. There are too many companies to have to deal with this kind of run around. Work with a company that you don't have to babysit to get things completed professionally and on time.
