As a registered architect specializing in custom residential, remodeling and additions, I believe the design process is a joint venture and collaborative effort between the owner and architect.
Working with the owners wants and needs, my role is to provide direction, options and solutions to achieve the owners vision for their project. The final design will address the functionality in plan, budget and the desired aesthetic for a comprehensive solution. My mission is to work in collaboration with clients, to achieve their vision in a residential remodeling project.
That is, to provide solutions that meet the clients goals and objectives relative to functionality in plan and an aesthetic that compliments the project. My philosophy is to start each project using sound design principles as well as addressing areas of energy conservation, environmental awareness, and sustainability.

Residential design is as a collaboration between the architect and the client. The architect takes the client's needs and aesthetic preferences utilizes his knowledge of space, light, materials and visual principles to design a home or living area that not only meets the client's expectations but also meets all required building codes and neighborhood specifications.

Additional considerations of product/personnel flow required to conduct business in the most efficient manner possible.
A: Survey or Site Plan of Property (may be available/rom city). Required for any work outside the footprint of the existing house. If not available, will need to check with city if one is required or if we can provides a measured drawing of the existing and the new addition. B: Dimensions of Existing House.

If there was a 6-star rating, Carl would get it. We went through a series of setbacks due to problems with the quality of the soil the house was to be built on. Each and every time Carl returned a solution that not only solved the problem, but that was extremely creative and didn't make us feel like we were making any kind of compromise. During our last iteration of changes my wife and I thought we'd come up with a reasonable solution on our own. When Carl showed us his solution, we were blown away at how perfect it was.
