Carl Guarco is a hard working, honest professional. He put a driveway on our property where none existed previously. During excavation they dealt with ledge and more than a few challenges as the job progressed. Through it all, he’s personable and cares about what he is doing. Highly recommend.

Carl Guarco and his crew did an excellent job removing the old asphalt driveway at our home in West Hartford and installing a new one. Carl took careful measurements to make sure that rainwater & melted snow would not pool on the driveway. I appreciate that he went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right.

Guarco removed my old driveway and repaved with new blacktop. Final product came out great and have been driving on it for a few weeks now. It was easy to reach Carl by phone at all times of the day, and he answered all the questions I had both before and after. I'd recommend these guys and would hire them again.

I highly recommend Guarco Construction. Carl Guarco and his crew just completed paving and curbing my parents' long, steep, curving driveway -- not an easy job. They dug up and removed the old asphalt, gave extra attention to preparing the bed, paved the main driveway, installed curbing and a secondary driveway/parking spot. Carl kept me well informed during the entire process and always responded to my calls and questions right away. The driveway looks beautiful. I would definitely hire Guarco Construction again for other paving work.

Carl Guarco gave us his estimate to remove and replace our 50-year-old asphalt driveway; it is a steep and long drive with a wide parking plaza in front of the garage, so we knew this would be an expensive undertaking. Carl clearly explained various aspects of the project as he was taking measurements, demonstrating what work needed to be done, where, and -most importantly- why. He also identified a trouble spot in the plaza and expressed his concern about what would be the likely cause and the most likely steps to remedy the problem.

Very good experience with Guarco for driveway paving. They showed up always on time, when they said they would. The owner, Carl, took his time in explaining what they would do - and answered my many questions thoroughly and with patience. Any time I called Carl with a question or to check something re the job - Carl answered the phone. Their pricing was competitive. Very satisfied with the job that Carl and his crew did.

I contracted Carl and his crew to repave my driveway. Can’t say enough good things. He was very responsive to get back to me to schedule a quote. Very clear in what I needed to do to repair the driveway and scheduled/completed the work in a very timely manner. My new driveway/walkway looks amazing and they got the grade perfect, water runs to the street and doesn’t pool like my old driveway did. I’d hire these guys for any future work. Very happy with the quality and professional service they provided.

Carl responded immediately to our request for an estimate. In fact he showed up that evening after spending a long day paving. He has been at this forever is an old school hardworking pro! He was very thorough in his explanation and gave us a fair price. He showed up when he said he would and now we have a beautiful new driveway.

I am so glad I found this contractor. Contracted to remove old driveway and install new one adding a turnaround area. Very prompt at coming to look over the project, measure it out and give me a very fair quote. Thoroughly explained what needed to be done and how they would do it. Payed special attention to drainage of water off the driveway. A couple weeks later they came and removed old Driveway, added and packed down base material. Great job. Base material was just what it should have been and they pounded it down so it was solid. Said it would need to rest for a couple weeks before paving and
