Dixfield Foam Insulation will make your home more comfortable and safe while saving energy! Did you know that homes are responsible for consuming a whopping 21% of the energy in the United States? Dixfield Foam Insulation, Inc., wants to help you reduce that number, while at the same time making your home safer, healthier, more comfortable, and more affordable to heat and cool.

We're a foam insulation contracting company serving the southern and western Maine. Offering both open cell and closed cell spray foam insulation, we can drastically improve your home's comfort and energy performance. A small-town company, we pride ourselves on providing quality work, superb customer service and quality assurance that you won't find anywhere else.

We work with some of the state's top building science and energy efficiency experts as trade partners (including select, trusted energy auditors and building inspectors as well as air sealing and insulation teams) to make sure that our customers are left with an end result that's nothing short of completely satisfying.
Services
Dixfield Foam Insulation, Inc., owned and operated by Grady and Melissa Littlehale, offers spray foam insulation installations throughout the state of Maine. Formed in 2007, Dixfield Foam aims to increase the energy efficiency, comfort, and operating costs of new and existing buildings by applying the most advanced insulation technology on the market.
Thank you for allowing me to test the project in Cumberland. For a building of around 7000 Square feet I expected the blower door number to approach 4000 CFM. Because of your excellent foam application and the quality of the builder the blower door reading was only 2400 CFM at 50 Pascals! Thanks to Dixfield Foam Insulation we don't have frozen pipes anymore on those cold nights.
Because the only thing worse than air leakage is heat transmission. Insulation conserves energy, increases comfort, and saves money, by keeping your hard earned heat inside. Find out how. I. Insulation is one of your home's first defenses against wasteful energy spending. According to the Department of Energy, 50%-70% of the energy used in the average American home goes toward heating and cooling.
Your utility bill may be shocking, but it offers few helpful details: it doesn't tell you when your energy use peaks, doesn't explain how best to reduce power consumption, and doesn't tell you how your home is spending your money. Sometime during your crusade to seal those energy robbing cracks and holes in your home, you're bound to start asking yourself, Isn't air flow important for a healthy home?
Your utility bill may be shocking, but it offers few helpful details: it doesn't tell you when your energy use peaks, doesn't explain how best to reduce power consumption, and doesn't tell you how your home is spending your money. We think it's worth finding out. A home energy audit is one of the first steps to understanding your home's energy usage, as well its overall health and performance.

So far, I've had a great experience with DFI. Grady was professional and went the extra step to get my floors insulated before the cold set in. Very efficient. He gave me an estimate, did the work, and charged me just what he said he would. Unknown at this time what a difference the insulation will make, but as far as the service provided, I was very pleased. I doubt I'll have any issues, but the work is guaranteed and I believe that if I were to have any problems, Grady will be there to correct.
UPDATE: Have gone through the winter now, and so incredibly happy to report how much warmer my house

This company was awesome to work with! They gave an incredibly fair honest estimate, completed what they said they would, and were there on time! They traveled 2 hours to us, and maneuvered down a muddy road with their trailer to get to us! Our house is sealed up and we couldn't be more pleased! I highly recommend Grady and his company!

I am building a custom home in Rangeley Maine and Gary provided a fair and accurate proposal for a total spray foam system to the home. We ultimately hired Gary and his team who executed the project seamlessly. Gary showed up when he said he would and took care of tricky detailed areas of the custom home without any fuss.
I highly recommend Dixfild foam insulation. Professional, clean, and prompt.

Dixfield Foam did a great job for me and I very much recommend them. Lilly, her dad Grady, and the rest of the crew did a bomber job insulating my old house that had lots of tight corners and small spaces. As if that weren't enough they were competitively priced, showed up when they said they would, and were nice people to deal with.

Great experience with this company ! I live 3 hours away from the job site and these guys were great to deal with over the phone. Did the job exactly when they said they would, answered all my questions, and left no mess afterwards! Walked into the home after and you could already tell what a huge difference it made. Highly recommend them !!! Hope to do business with them again for my barn in the future!!! Great job gentlemen!
