The friendly staff always makes for a pleasant visit as well! Today was my first experience visiting Smoke 'N' Fire and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire store.

They have everything you will ever need to buy, plus they give expert advice to help you be a grill master! First time visit, super impressed with helpful staff and great price point ranges in the store.

I recommend this place to everyone if you want that real Smoky taste this is the place to come to service here is great Artesha gave me great customer service I love the way she explained everything she's awesome thank you so much I recommend the brisket plate or the giant rib and the coleslaw is very good and I hate coleslaw but I like theirs they gave it a total different taste Thank you Artesha

Terrible customer service. My fireplace stopped working after less than one year. I've called several times (including twice a day for two days in a row) to diagnose the problem. They keep telling me a sales person will call me back. I just called again. Very rude lady told me that there is no possible way someone could have called me back in the last two days, and they are calling in the order of received messages. I said this was terrible customer service, and she replied that this was my opinion. She said she'd take me off the list, but will not have further conversation with me. I will not

This has to be the WORST customer service I have had at any store. They are rude, ignore you at the register and huff at you when you ask questions. Good luck trying to return anything, even if you just bought it, it does not work and you have a receipt. They will still tell you you have to call the company and get a new one from the,. HUGH, what are we in the 1970’s.? Simply the worst service and experience I have ever had. I will never go in there again. And just fyi it is not one employee they are all rude and will not help.

After being a customer for years, we will never do business with them again. Purchased an expensive grill light for my husband for Christmas. Prior to completing the sale I specifically asked Aaron if the light was returnable as it was a Christmas gift. He said 'Yes, it was, just make sure to hold on to your receipt". My husband went to return it after Christmas with receipt and was told by Aaron that it could not be returned as it was a special order. On my first visit, I asked the lady behind the counter if they sold Yoder smokers and she replied YES, let me grab the salesperson for you. Once he approached, he immediately went into a pitch on a couple other brands that I did not ask about. When I asked him again if they sold Yoder he replied no and tried to pitch me again on one of his Memphis grills. I don’t appreciate being lied to and trying to be sold on something I’m not interested in. If they lied to me on something as simple as whether or not they sell a brand, I’m going to assume they are going to lie to me on everything else

Customer Service does not exist at this store. I called and asked if they did service on a product that I bought there, just wanting to know how I should proceed. A woman respectfully took my question and said she would ask the tech. I didn't hear back so I called again, same lady, she said she passed the info to the tech. I asked to speak to him but he was unavailable. Three weeks later, nada.

I worked here for about 3 weeks, and had to quit. They were so disrespectful. They cussed me out, I said I quit and they tried to fire me first. I worked hard but it was never hard enough for Jim, the owner. Aaron is a good guy but the rest of this family is so mean and rude. I haven't worked there in over a month and they have never paid me! They owe me about $400! Never shop at this place, they taught me to lie for them on the phone. They said they sent out my check and it never happened. Went up there the other day to get my check and they said they lost it, these people can not run a business

We love to support local small businesses. We spent almost $11,000 here. Aaron the son of the owner runs the store. Today he told me I was a terrible customer because I told him I was frustrated with the last of communication. After he got of credit card info it was like pulling teeth to get any updates. I have never been talked to like this by anyone much less someone that interfaces with customers for a living. I had to drive there to get info in person, each time I talked to you with respect. I had spoken to one of their sales people about buying a replacement door for our fireplace. He assured me that they sold a door that would work. We drove from Richmond, Missouri to the store in Overland Park, an hour and a half away. When we arrived the salesperson working told us that they didn’t have the kind of door we needed. I had told the person on the phone our brand of fireplace insert, and he misled us. If I would have just walked in the day I called and purchased the wrong kind of door, our house could have caught fire. We live in the country and would have lost everything in a fire

Buyer beware of returns and restocking fees and being falsely accused of made up things to support that restocking fee. I bought a floor unit outdoor heater that they rolled out and put in my vehicle at full price. Made sure I asked if I could bring it back if I changed my mind as it was a floor unit. No problem just keep your receipt which I did. Took it home unloaded it and left it in my garage for 12 days. Decided it was more than I needed so I returned it inside the 15 day window. One Star, because I have to give at least one to tell you this business does not follow their own return policy. The store manager pulled the part for me. Since the policy said only unopened returns, I went to the grill maker website and learned the manager sold me the wrong part. When I went back to the store, the employee behind the counter would not credit back my debit card. The return met every condition on the sales receipt return policy. This merchant did not act with integrity when dealing with the return. Buyer beware - I won't be shopping at Smoke and Fire in Overland Park, Kansas

Stay away from this store. I've spent over $4k on a grill and accessories from this store, but no more!!!!
Wife purchased a Kamado Joe grill cover that was the wrong size. Went to exchange the item for the correct grill size, but the employee wouldn't do the exchange. He said because the box had dents in it he could not help me. For a $79.99 grill cover that all I wanted to do was exchange for the right size you've lost a good customer.
Employees here have been routinely rude or non helpful. Save yourself the time and frustration, take your money elsewhere.

I will never shop here again! I bought an insulating cord for my wood stove that was the wrong size. I came back to exchange for the right size and they would not take the wrong one back because I had opened the bag. I did not even take the cord out of the bag. What antiquated customer service! I said I was not shopping there and left. I found what I needed at Fireplace & BBQ Center on Metcalf...and for half the price! I guess the one that's the wrong size will just go in the trash when it could easily have been resold.

I went into the store and was in the store almost 1 hour total. It took 26 minutes before I got a salesperson to help me. He was friendly and informative but overworked. Rosie was not nice and the store is understaffed. I could not reach the owner when I called the second day to have him help me with my multiple-item purchases. I am seeking another company to help me since Rosie made it clear that they are busy and will get to me when they feel like it. How sad there is so little "customer service" at this location.

Absolute worst place in the world to do business. As long as you were buying in the store you're a valued customer. Purchased a $3000 beefeater grill, Called the store to ask questions about replacement parts and was shut down. Told if I wanted to purchase something to come to the store didn't have time to talk over the phone.The lady that I spoke to on the phoneRepeatedly told me she didn't have time if you want to buy come to the store otherwise we don't have time for you.Again it's not like you're buying a 2 or $300 grill from smoke and fire.This place is ridiculously

Oh, where do I begin. We ordered a part 2 years ago and thought we had received it and just misplaced it at home. So, we order the part again. The person who took the call said "I'll put it in the mail tomorrow." Two weeks later, no part.
I call and the owner Jim answers. He says he'll look it up and call me back. Two days later, no call. My husband calls and again, "we'll call you back after we do some research." Again, no call back.
I call today and Joan answers and I let her know up front that I was not happy and she rudely transfers me to someone

I've been there about five times since it opened and not once has a staff member asked if they could help or acknowledge my presence, Today I went in for the LAST time, Tried to buy some wood chips but after standing at the counter for five minutes without being acknowledged again is the last chance!!
