I did not have a great experience with Lookswell Painting. I was totally overcharged for repairing water damage that was done to my condo. I was charged for multiple workers when only one worker did the work. They also charged me for 3 days of work when the job took less than that. On top of this, I was accused of not paying my bill, when in fact I had paid over a month before. When I pointed this out I got a nasty email in response. The work was nice which is why I’m giving then 3 stars, but I won’t use them again.

I have been very impressed with this company. This is the second time I have used their services, and will continue to do so as needed in the future. Jim Scanlan, the owner, came to my home to give an estimate. I sensed immediately that he was a person of integrity. I thought the estimate was fair and contracted with him to do the work. The painters who then came to my home were prompt, hard-working, and very professional. Their work was flawless and they were immaculate in cleaning up. I am very happy and satisfied. We have used Lookswell Painting on two projects now. Once to repair plaster on a water damaged area and again to paint our cabinets. It was a pleasure to work with them both times. They were flexible to work with and helpful when picking paint colors. We called with follow up questions and they responded timely. Great customer service and very professional workmanship! Lookswell is awesome! Beyond Rockstar. Cindy who helped with the quote and estimate was great to work with. Mario and Moises who came to do the paint were awesome. They went above and beyond to ensure the job was complete and well done. They are true professionals and take pride in their work.

This has been a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. It began with Cindy in the office who was terrific about setting things up, answering questions, and providing the necessary documents to the Office of the Building. Then it was followed by Fernando, who initially came to review my condo needs to prepare the estimate. Once hired, he personally checked in on a daily basis regarding the progress of the job. I recommend Lookswell to anyone looking for a quality drywall/painting company. They went above and beyond to make the whole experience so easy. I emailed them to come out and give an estimate and they responded right away and were able to come out the next day. They always showed up on time and did everything they could to accommodate our schedule. I shied away from this company initially because their price was higher than a couple others, but when I took into account supplies and labor (plus comparison shopping) it was a bit more reasonable. Plus their availability was better. I was still nervous about this company at first because the estimate was digital instead of someone coming out, but they sounded like they knew what they were talking about and Cindy is super nice.

Fernando and his team always arrived on time every day, were communicative by text message or phone, had great attention to detail, easily matched colors for touch ups, and made sure everything looked perfect. I hired Lookswell to paint a bathroom as well as a few walls and ceilings that had been cut open and patched as part of a construction project. The bathroom also involved patching, re-grouting, and the removal of wallpaper.

We called one morning and Frank stopped by that afternoon to see what was required. He looked over everything in detail and wrote up a proposal on the spot. This surprised my wife and I because we have had many painting estimates done over the years and no one has committed to a proposal in less than a week. Frank and his crew showed up as scheduled, on time every morning and spent 6 days on the project. Every room in a 2 story townhouse was painted. Unfortunately, all did not continue to go well. I had to call them back out twice to fix my cracked/peeling bathroom ceiling; but I did hire them again, this time to paint my kitchen. The kitchen paint job is good, but they left a mess: dust bunnies on the floor from where they moved my fridge, some paint on my cupboard and after apparently trying to open my window, I had to put my blinds back in place. All of this would have been okay had the painter left some sort of note. Maybe they thought I wouldn't notice(?)

Another contractor had just let me down big time. He gave me an estimate, made an appointment and just didn't show up for the work. The Lookswell crew jumped in and really delivered with tremendous quality and professionalism.
As for the work itself? It wasn't just the paint job I'm pleased with. Edmundo took down the medicine chest and mirror so I could give it a good cleaning, and he replaced the towel rods with new ones. He worked fast and efficiently

Lookswell was recommended to us by friends and we had our place painted by them a little over a week ago. They did a fabulous job with both the drywall repairs and the painting. Our place is challenging because it's not just four walls and a ceiling --there are multiple angles and extremely high locations in narrow stairwells and we used two colors along with a white ceiling. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. They were very professional in their dealings throughout the process of providing a bid, agreeing on a contract, and doing the work itself. I signed a 1500usd contract to get a ceiling taken down and put up again to fix my AC. I paid a 750 down payment, and a guy came and did a great job taking the ceiling down in about 30 minutes. The AC was delayed 3 weeks and once it came and was installed I contacted Lookwell again. Unfortunately I got a very rude response and I quote " we will not do the job due to the delay. If your attorney feels the need to contact us, please make sure all mailings go by certified mail ".. WOW!! I got very irritated that they just robbed me of 750usd. We recently did major renovations to our condo and use Lookswell for multiple jobs. My experience with Lookswell is exactly what you look for in a contractor - professional, honest, and quality work. Lookswell initially painted our kitchen cabinets and they did a beautiful job. Everyone walks in our home and mentions how great they are. I ended up calling them back because I needed tape and texture for a new wall we had installed. Both experiences were fantastic and the quality of work was great.
