Devon Tile & Design Studio
Devon Tile & Design Studio celebrated its 30th year with some very big changes. Roberta Cyronak, the last remaining of 3 founders completed her transition into a much-deserved life of leisure by transferring ownership to two long time employees. Bonnie Hughes who joined Devon in 2001 as part of the design staff and Jamie Reilly who joined in 2005 as bookkeeper.

Both have worn many hats over the years to gain a comprehensive understanding of the high-end tile industry. Over the years, CPG, Inc. has grown to be Devon Tile & Design Studio. A premier showroom offering unique materials and comprehensive design services to residents of the Philadelphia Main Line and beyond.

Our team of talented, professional and creative designers and staff offer a luxury experience found nowhere else on the Main Line. Our expansive showroom allows you to see, touch and design with the finest stone, ceramic, glass and metal materials available while we guide you through the process to realize your vision.

I was shocked at how dismal the customer service was a few years ago unless you were a "designer". I decided to give them another chance. I wanted to walk through and get some ideas. I didn't know they are by appointment only now. I walked in and the rude unfriendly receptionist said "can I help you?" I told her I just wanted to look at the tile. She said we are by appointment only and then just went back to staring at her computer monitor.
Wouldn't you see if anyone was available at that point or ask if I'd like to come back? I reached out through email and

I'm am very impressed with this company. Customer service and communication seems not to exist anymore when dealing with people.
I've had nothing but PERFECT customer service from Devon tiles . I may have gotten lucky on the first try in regards to whom I'm dealing with so ask for MEL. She is great at her job. She doesn't leave you waiting for weeks before responding to your emails, calls etc. She goes above and beyond to get the job done and is very informative in her field of tile design. Thank you, Mel.

Very rude and arrogant. You are better off going someplace else. You don't need the stress of an arrogant supplier when customizing a home. Clearly they have forgotten who is the customer and how they remain in business. They are not selling you anything unique that cannot be purchased elsewhere.

We didn't get off on the best footing when we first visited Devon tile in the late summer/early fall of 2018, but that was one bad salesperson and one visit. The next time we stopped in, we worked with the owner and our project went from buying tile for one room to trusting her so much we bought tile for the kitchen floor and two separate back splashes (the main kitchen and a dry bar); the main bathroom floor and shower (walls and floor); the main foyer; 2 full baths, a powder room and another entry way. You just don't expand a job like that if you don't know what you're doing

So very disappointed. I had a very good appointment on February 17, 2021 with Christen. However the one star rating is due to the fact that they never followed up. I never received the promised email with price quotes of the tile I picked out. Then I emailed a few weeks later and never heard back. I was designing a full bar, full bath, wine room, and kitchen. So it would have been a large job. I spent two hours picking out tile and I never heard a word from them. VERY Disappointed!!!!

While shopping around for specific tiles to match various guest bathrooms, we have been super impressed by the customer service and diversity of designs Devon Tile offered us. From the more affordable design to the more expensive, we found a great range of everything we needed without going over board. Everyone was polite, kind, and courteous. There is a process to getting a quote, based on your architectural outline - so they cannot quote a price on the spot, but we were happy to wait and my son worked with them directly.

This store has great tile and great people.
Christen is terrific. Brought a client in to select tile for rebuild of a Master Bathroom and met with Christen. Devon Tile has a dizzying array of really unusual and beautiful tile. This is no ordinary tile store.
And our sales consultant, Christen, is no ordinary sales associate. You can always tell when you're with a good consultant. Christen knew the tile very well, and has a great ability to visualize and put together really amazing products. As a Designer, this makes the process so much easier and quicker for me.
We gave Christen our specs of

I previously posted about the designers here not being friendly. It felt intimidating to walk into and like an appointment was required to look around. That has changed over the last several months and it seems much more welcoming to walk in without an appointment.

Yes I wish there was a zero star. This is the most unfriendly design showrooms in the USA. The customer service is awful. If you don't have an appointment you are turned away. I would never recommend Devon Tile.

From a designer with years of experience: If you want great service with incredible talent in the Philadelphia area, I recommend Amy Whalin at Joanne Hudson. Amy is as professional as they come, very talented and will expedite any size project you may have.

Main Line builders, architects and designers look at the reviews, this will be your worst recommendation!

I dropped in without an appointment just to see what they had. I was fortunate enough to get squeezed in between clients. I wound up choosing tile for my 4 bathrooms, kitchen and addition! Beautiful tile for every taste!

We worked with Devon tile through Abby Schwartz Architect for our renovation project, they have a wide selection - beautiful stuff! Staff was extremely helpful, they have good eyes and are experienced. Very very happy with how the kitchen, and the bathrooms turned out. You can't go wrong with Devon Tile!

All around bad customer service. Rude, condescending, and unhelpful staff over the phone, over email, and in person. Reviews across the board on yelp are pretty consistent, that employees are unfriendly and have bad attitudes. Just awful, I guess they don't want new business. I would recommend shopping for tile somewhere else.

I was taken to this shop with a designer - spent an hour picking out tile to be sent out the door with - we'll send the price to the designer. The price turned out to be extremely expensive and the focal point I choose couldn't even be done because one of the accent tiles had a minimum that far exceeded the need for the focal point. Why would you display that focal point???? Why can't you give a price while I'm standing there? Waste of time.

My experience at Devon Tile was absolutely fantastic. The minute my husband and I walked into the door we were greeted with a friendly smile and positive attitude. The staff was so helpful and walked around with us for hours to pick out a backsplash to match our countertops. We are thrilled with the quality and overall appearance of the tile we purchased here. I would highly recommend Devon Tile everyone!

Love Devon Tile ! It's best to call ahead and make an appointment as the consultants are very busy, but the work they do is BEAUTIFUL and I would never go anywhere else. Great selection and competitive pricing. NO comparison to other tile places around the Main Line. You may find more employees in other places, but there is ZERO comparison to the expertise at Devon Tile !

Sadly, you can't give a zero star rating. Remember that scene in Pretty Woman where she walks in the store and no one will help her and she returns all dressed up and laughs in their faces? That's kind of how I feel. I live on the Main Line and have bought tiles at Devon two times in the past. I tiled a bathroom in marble and also did a custom backsplash through their store. Made an appointment and met with a "designer" to talk about a new backsplash (14 years after our old one). I can't imagine a more dismissive, offensive encounter with a sales professional. I

They deserve zero stars. No one greeted me, not even a hello after passing several sales people. No other customers were in the store - I finally had to ask for help. The sales person showed no interest in me at all, actually made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. She didn't ask about my project, offer suggestions, it was very awkward. I tried asking her questions but got two word answers while she walked away from me several times. She finally told me I should try the Tile Shop. Wow. She could actually learn a lot from the Tile Shop they have an incredibly friendly staff. Obviously

My fiance went to Devon Tile but left less than enthused by the staff who came off rude/not friendly while meeting with him in the store. We'll need to go elsewhere for our tile!

Their selection is nice, but the ladies that work there are extremely rude. I was so turned off by their customer service that I left immediately and went to DalTile. Not worth it!
