If you are raising free range chickens in your backyard, you are already aware of the responsibilities of taking of care your chickens as well as protecting your girls. You are also familiar with waking up early to let your chickens out, as well as making sure you are home in time to get them back in their coop before any predators may get to them.
Light Sensor Operation In this mode the unit is triggered by light levels. The approaching darkness causing the door to close. Sunrise will trigger the door to open. An adjustment potentiometer on the circuit board will permit you to change the light triggering levels in the event the door is closing too soon.
All models of The Poultry Butler are constructed with plastic lumber, PVC and galvanized steel and come pre-assembled with everything needed for either timer or light sensor activation. Mounting tabs make installation easy and the two size options can accommodate the largest fowl. A horizontal activated model is available where mounting space is limited.
The Poultry Butler comes preassembled with everything you need for either timer (you set the open/close times) or light sensor (the amount of daylight governs the opens/close times) operation. The door is installed on the inside of your coop over a precut opening 2 above the coop floor. The Poultry Butler can also be installed in an exterior fence if freezing is not an issue.
