Our history suggests that Americans prospered by successfully combining the riches of many diverse cultures with a common sense approach to getting things done. WOODARD WEAVE draws upon those fundamental characteristics to revive a tradition.
Few of America's 19th-Century folk artists, many of them ordinary country dwellers, ever traveled to Paris to see Pointillist painter Georges Seurat's famous Sunday Afternoon on the Grand Jatte (Detail right). Nor is it likely that anyone ever predicted that pixels would be an everyday presence in our 21st-Century lives.
Woodard & Greenstein have been dealing in American Antiques for over 45 years. Our collection includes rare 19th and early 20th Century quilts, country furnishings, vintage jewelry, and unique Americana. Among the Americana in the collection are paintings, pottery, and antique hooked and woven rugs.
Our new WOODARD WEAVE WOVEN RUGS catalogs include over seventy-five historically inspired designs in the Collection. Each page is illustrated in full color with details about care, stair installation, decorating applications, and all you need to know about the rugs you have seen in every home decorating magazine.
Where are you located? Our Warehouse is in Long Island City, NY, where our once-a-year Sale is held. Please contact us for notification. Through the years our firm, Haver & Skolnick Architects, has ordered over 20 of Woodard & Greenstein's beautiful hooked and woven rugs and have always been pleased. We find their rich colors and varied designs complement both traditional and modern interiors.
