Andy himself was on his first job at the age of 6 years old, and spent every summer vacation, since the age of 14, working on job sites learning the trade.

Andy and his staff have installed 2 jobs in our home over the last year. We replaced our windows and recently had two doors installed. We had quotes from six contractors 4 were from the well known advertised companies, two independents. We went with Andy because of a referral and pricing. His approach was salt of the earth, no nonsense. The windows are snug, no drafts, and quiet. Best decision in a long time.
After working the window job he recommended we replace the doors to the attic and garage. Both were woefully energy inefficient, Andy said we we’re losing a lot of heat. Again quality craftsmanship

We have had Andy Kaptein of Skyline Contractors at our house many times over the last twenty years. His first job with us was sidling and windows, then a sunroom, a new kitchen, a first floor full bathroom and laundry room. He came back to add a beautiful back deck, and an upstairs closet! In 2019 he installed a new front door and freshened up the look of the front of the house! Andy is meticulous about the quality of his work. This review has been editied due to charactor limits. The siding work itself was good. However there were several mistake which I pointed out which were corrected quickly. It was only after everything was done that I discovered all the things wrong. Rain gutters: At the first rain storm after the siding was done the gutters were overflowing. I went up the ladder to clean out the downspouts. I saw that when the downspouts were put back up they were reattached with screws and siding nails instead of the ¼" white sheet metal screws originally put in by the roofer. After researching various contractors around the greater Rochester area I decided to go with Skyline Contractors. I couldnt be happier with my decision. I hired Andy and his crew to re side my house. They had the job done in about a week, and that was working through January weather. His price was very fair and the work done was exceptional. From start to finish I have zero complaints whatsoever, only compliments. I have more projects needing to be done and after this experience I wont be going with anyone else other than Skyline.

Andy came to our house when we were looking for a contractor to build a four-season sun room addition. We liked Andy (and his whole crew) so much that we hired him to build our sunroom, completely redo our kitchen, put siding on our house, and replace all of our windows! Andy worked with us to design an addition that fit perfectly onto our existing house- we didn’t want a sun room that looked like a separate “box.” The result is a stunning room surrounded with windows. I have used Skyline several times over the last 15 years on 2 different houses and have always been completely satisfied and very happy to work with Andy. He is very professional, yet approachable and friendly. He does exactly what he says he will do and more. I have had him to do replacement windows and shutters with zero problems. Most recently he replaced the porch structure over my back door. He thought up a way to make the structure last longer than the previous one that was being replaced.
