Services
Pruning / Trimming can improve the health, safety and appearance or your trees. Although forest trees grow quite well with only nature's pruning, landscape trees require a higher level of care to maintain their safety and aesthetics. At San Diego Tree Care, Inc. we can have and experienced arborist determine what type of pruning is necessary for your specific trees.
Stump Grinding is performed using a stump grinding machine, the machine has a wheel lined with carbide tipped teeth that spin at high rpm's and can cut/grind the stump into small wood chips. Standard stump grinding is performed approximately 12 inches below the surface including any surface roots depending on the circumstances.
Root pruning is similar to pruning branches, and is done when roots are infringing on an area where construction is to be done, or when they are causing damage or safety problems to sidewalks, driveways, streets, and the like. A callus will form at the cut, and new roots will generate from the callus.
San Diego Tree Care, Inc. is capable of brush and land clearing for fire clearance requirements or simply a general clean-up for asthetics. We are equipped to handle small to large land clearing projects and demo for new construction and landscape projects. We have performed services from even the most delicate zero impact native habitat restoration projects to complete demolition for complete landscape renovation.

Clint and his crew are amazing! We have had them trim our 40' pine trees and they were great. One of our trees recent got killed by a beetle so we called them to take it down. They took down the tree ground the stump so that it was flush and we could replant something near where the old tree was. We even tacked on removing an 80' long hedge that day and it was no problem for them Their prices are good and they are fast and clean up everything. They will be my first and only call for tree care moving forward.

We've used San Diego Tree Care for two years as both our landscape maintenance company and as our primary tree removal and trimming company. They are competitively priced, reliable, productive and safe. They've removed very large trees (50+ feet) on extremely steep slopes with limited access, and have done an excellent job with safety as a priority. They have worked with our HOA to improve access to our property to facilitate long-term care. They are responsive, but they are also very busy so plan ahead. Highly recommend them.

SDTC was most professional. Clint came out to look at the tree we wanted trimmed and gave us a fair estimate for the job. We were able to schedule quickly and the crew arrived on time and ready to work. They meticulously thinned out and trimmed the tree as promised then cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. We were extremely happy with the results and will call them again when we have additional work to be done.

I can not say enough. These guys were hired by my landlord to trim a tree in my backyard that was dropping large branches due to it not being trimmed for many years. When they came out to trim the tree the area of the yard was not perfectly cleaned but when they left it was immaculate. They did a great job trimming the tree and even better is that they left their work area cleaner than when they started. Family had them trim some eucalyptus trees on their property and recommended same for my poor 25yr old juniper that tried to fall over after the rains this spring. They noted there was a backlog of jobs but communicated over text really well (even responding to a question on a Saturday) and came on the date and time they said. Took it right out and didn't damage nearby fence. Stump grinder came next day and after pointing out drains and sprinkler lines it all worked out perfectly. Price was reasonable and I would ask them back in a moment - fortunately I only have one real tree anymore

We have used San Diego Tree Care to trim our trees a number of times over the years and we have been happy with the work every time. Clint and his team have been great. Most recently, Clint came to our house ahead of time to discuss approaches, we chose one, and his team easily executed. And with their clean-up afterwards it was difficult to tell that they had been there from the ground. Prices have always been very reasonable. I recommend Clint and the team at San Diego Tree Care.

After reading reviews I was sold on using San Diego Tree Care. I didn't look for other quotes as I had 4 palms that desperately needed to be trimmed and with the orange seeds falling all over the ground it was hard to keep my dogs from eating them. It didn't do great things for their systems LOL. Clint came out gave an estimate and I signed up right away. They just finished up in my yard and it looks fantastic. I had a window of 10-12 and they showed up at 9:40. I love that! One person mentioned that Clint was real easy to talk to and she was 100% correct. Great experience from

There are several qualities that make this company exceptional. We have had them maintain our trees and some other planting in our yard on several occasions. They show up on time, they do excellent work, they are professional while working, and when they finish they leave the place spotless. This is a difficult combination to find in any maintenance work crew. Clint, the owner of the company, communicates well and often and his estimates of the work to be done are clear and are followed exactly. I absolutely recommend them to any homeowner. You will not be disappointed.

We used San Diego tree care to take out some old and very tall trees. Clint and his crew were awesome! They came out very quickly and removed the trees in the very narrow space that they were in. They cleared out all of the debris so we couldn't even tell that they had been there! Very reasonably priced and super friendly service! Will use them again!

Very professional. Great price. I had about a 30 foot palm tree that needed to be removed and I got in a couple of other quotes. San Diego tree care was able to give me a much better price because they owned shipping equipment that could chip my palm tree on site. other companies were charging me to take it down but also charging me dump feeds by weight which almost double the price. Sam was great! They showed up when they said they were going to be here. They took every precaution to make certain that none of my property was damaged in the process. They were fully equipped and very courteous

These guys are truly top notch! They were able to remove my massive Aleppo Pine tree within 6-7 hrs! Truly impressed with how this crew was able to cut the tree down & remove stump safely, quickly, & efficiently! The only evidence of my tree ever existing is the mulch they used to fill where the tree used to be! Highly recommend! Not sure why this vendor received so many 5 star reviews. I made an appointment with them for a time frame of 30 minutes. Clint did not show up and did not answer my phone call nor reply my text message. The office staff did not reply to my email about the missing appointment either. I would not trust a professional who is not professional.
Another vendor showed up 3 minutes before the appointment time and promptly respond to my questions. That would be the type of person I would like to do business with.

Had these guys come back for front yard tree shaping and trimming. As usual they did a great job. The trees don't look "perfect" but natural. Again had the same foreman who is super knowledgeable and friendly. Told me why some trees get sunburned and weakened and that's why not to go super thin. Got the job done quickly.
Most importantly--other people in the service industry listen up--they left my whole yard CLEANER than it was before they showed up!!

I'm currently writing this review while San Diego Tree Care is cutting our palm trees. This is the second time we have hired Clint and his team, and again I'm so impressed. We have a palm tree in the backyard, and when it gets cut, lots of debris falls into the pool. But you wouldn't know it. The team fishes out everything that falls in the pool, and sweeps up all that's on the ground. My backyard looks even better than it did before as a result.
I'd recommend San Diego Tree Care in a heartbeat. They are fast, effective, and make everything look great.
