Rodney worked with his Grandpa Clay & Dad Dennis learning the family business and is now the third generation owner of Wideman Pools. He has perfected his craft and expertise in this field with 25+ years of hands on experience. He received his Bachelor's degree in business from Missouri Baptist University, where he also earned his MBA in 2009.
His wife Krystle is a local school teacher who enjoys participating in many community involvement projects. They have two children, Clayton and Estelle, and a tiny pup named Blue. Family time is the number one priority and much of it is spent in the backyard with the pool, firepit, and BBQ grill! Ron attended Linn Tech College where he received his certification as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He has also completed numerous trainings related to the pool industry, including a Boot-Camp with our fiberglass manufacturer Latham, and in depth workshops with major brands such as Hayward & Pentair. On the weekends you can find him enjoying time at the racetrack with his wife and grandkids!

First, check out the areas we serve, all of the counties listed are accurate and we do not service outside of these areas. If you would like to schedule a consultation, we will need a plot plan or property survey emailed over to us first. This can be obtained by your building department or you may have a copy in your closing documents when you purchased your home.

Before purchase they came out and explained everything to us and answered any questions we had. On install date showed up with pool in tow and had it in the ground filling up with water in 3 hours.
Please note, we do not sell just the pool shells to customers, per our agreement with the manufacturer. As you can see from the pictures, fiberglass pools are the only type of pool available that do not require expensive periodic renovations over their lifetime. From start to finish, Wideman Pools did a fantastic job with our backyard project. We were reluctant pool purchasers. We had over a million questions. We had no idea how to care for a pool or what the continued investment would be. I always wanted a pool as a kid, then wanted one for my kids. So when I bought my house in 2016, the pool was a big selling point. My pool is 40 years old and Wideman's first pool install. I feel pretty proud of that! It truly shows the durability of these pools. I always find Rodney and all of Wideman's sales associates extremely helpful with any of my concerns or questions. We look forward to many more years to come enjoying our fiberglass pool.

I can not recommend this company enough! Purchasing a pool is a big decision and it has to be done right the first time so recommendations from customers who have already had theirs installed are essential. We had other company’s come and give us bids leaving us feel unsettled and just as uncertain as before they had come but the day Rodney from Wideman Pools showed up, we were ready to get on the books for our pool and we signed our contract that day! We were confident in the products and services we were going to receive and he answered all of our questions honestly and set us at ease about

Wideman Pools does an excellent job! My family has been enjoying our Viking Pool we purchased from Wideman Pools for five years and we could not be happier. My wife and I looked at gunite, vinyl liners and fiberglass inserts when assessing this project and a fiberglass pool was the obvious choice in this part of the country. Rodney and his team have been helpful each and every time we have had questions, concerns or needs before and after purchasing the pool. Do yourself a favor, save some grief by calling Wideman pools and letting them help you!

So my friends call me Mr Research. When I decided to have a pool installed I almost researched myself into a coma until I decided I wanted a fiberglass pool. I contacted 9 different pool installers in the St Louis area and these were my results. 3 I left my phone number with of which none returned a call. 2 seemed to not even know what they were talking about and couldn't even give me a quote. 1 I wouldn't let them build a dog house for me. 1 didn't have the pool design I was looking for. 1 came to my house to give me quote and spent over half the appointment trying to talk me into a liner pool

Wideman pools installed the most beautiful pool we could have ever imagined. We are so pleased. Our grown children and grandchildren have simply lived in our pool this summer. Never having a pool to maintain before, we had so many question. Rodney Wideman was so patient with us. He never ever made us feel like dummies.
