Highly recommend! We do a monthly cleaning and Aniko does an incredible job! She's professional, efficient, and leaves our home spotless. First time for a weekly cleaning with LaJollaMaids....GREAT...just basic weekly cleaning..(dah)...house smelled soooo good...will have to buy whatever they used...have had 1 person for 30 yrs clean my house on a weekly basis..but used my equipment/supplies..etc...so price wise, I think I did a good job choosing these ladies. ok only week 1..so we'll see what happens in the future and I will update if something majorly changes...l hope not but we'll see...

During Christmas my entire family went to La Jolla to spend the holidays. We rented a beautiful house and hired La Jolla Maids to clean the house and help us with everyday tasks (like helping us serve dinner for the family and clean up afterwards); seven services total. I bought a voucher with Buy with Me in November. Tried to book in January and was told they could not book anything until May because "too many people had waited until the last minute to book their vouchers and they had just lost 2 lead teams". (It didn't expire until March). They said they would honor it past the expiration date.

Absolutely atrocious - this business makes Bernie Madoff's ponzi scheme seem not that bad in comparison.

If I could give La Jolla Maids 0 stars I would. There have been multiple instances where I have been completely dissatisfied with their level of service. We purchased several of the Living Social deals that offered 3 hours of cleaning service for $60. When we had our first cleaning, the maids did not bring any cleaning supplies nor a vacuum and ending up taking a sponge. We spoke to the management at La Jolla Maids and they gave us another cleaning for free.

I scheduled my appointing 1 month in advance. I received a confirmation email from the company confirming the day and time. I was told that I would receive an call from the cleaning crew 15 minutes before my appointment. No call or cleaning crew.
When I tried to call the company about them not showing up, I was only able to leave a message. I emailed them as well. At this time I have yet to hear back from the company.

I initially felt somewhat badly giving only 1 star, as the actual cleaning done seemed good on the surface, but it was not at all thorough. I would never hire this company again. The appointment-setting process was fairly easy and I appreciated the call to confirm the day before, as well as the communication about arrival time.

We bought a LivingSocial coupon for our PB condo. Coordinating the appointment was a snap and I was able to arrange the service to coordinate when we were going to be in SoCal. Everything by email. Front office support was great. Preparing a priority list is a must. Really kept us and the "maids" on track and aligned as to the most important items to be covered in the time allowed. Maids were on time and almost everything on my wish list was completed. 3 man hours is not a great deal of time and they were moving.

First off, very difficult to schedule cleaners because you only get a voice message when you call and you have to wait for a call back. We schedule 2 weeks ahead of time. 2 people came to clean for 1.5 hrs, we were fine with that. However, they showed up 2 hrs late to the appointment on a Saturday. Very unprofessional in doing so without giving any notice to us as we waited for them.
The cleaning was better then what I would do myself but not better than other cleaning services out there. I was expecting them use industrial quality cleaning

Not able to reach anyone on the phone at the office.
When finally contacted by maids, was told that they were late due to traffic and picking up a trainee, there was no traffic.
Expressed my need to get to work soon as they were already late, they said they were 10 mins away.
20 mins later, I called them to find out where they were and they were downtown, not near our address at all. (on Front St)
Asked me if I still wanted them to come, and I said no.
Called the office to complain and got voicemail again.
Do not want to use this service.

We just moved out of a 1,000 sq/ft condo which we intend to rent out. The condo was completely empty so very very easy to clean. We left a thorough list of the things we wanted addressed.
They musn't have brought cleaning supplies as they used an old bottle of Tylex to clean our laminate floors which left an oily residue everywhere. They missed half of the things on the list and checked off things on their work receipt that were'nt even possible to do, e.g. 'Empty

The cleaner called her manager and had her explain it to me. I definitley would not have bought the deal if I knew this but I decided to go with it since I'm 7.5 months pregnant, too tired to clean, and already paid.

(August 6, 2011) Since my review (see below) I have been contacted by the owner of La Jolla Maids. He was very concerned with what I had to say and wanted to do what he can to ensure that what I experienced will not be experienced by future customers. Here is a bit of what he said:
"It is definitely against company policy to be on personal calls while working in the customer home. . . We also instruct them to add time for any time lost due to those phone calls.

Im a bit skeptical about online deals but this one with La Jolla Maids was a deal of a lifetime...They were very professional. I have had my 3 bd/ 3 bath home cleaned by another service last month and I switched over to La Jolla Maids to give them a try with the online deal. I was so impressed at how clean my house was...it was spotless and smelled really fresh...Im a huge fan of their service and will be using them from now on. They do quality work for a very affordable price.

The young ladies, 2 of them, showed up on time, looked very professional and spoke English, so there were no communication problems. They immediately went to work, and when finished, walked me thru my house with a check list, to verify everything was done.
I am about to have knee surgery done, so I'll need some competent help keeping my house clean; so bi-weekly cleaning from this company fits my bill!
I must say, I got a great deal for $49!
