Agoura Lock & Key was founded in 1988 and has deep roots in the local community. Having been locally owned and operated for over 30 years, with the same retail location in Agoura Hills, we truly know and have a vested interest in the community we serve. In return we have built a strong reputation for being honest, affordable, and reliable.
Every job is different and as such our pricing is not "one size fits all". We like to create competitive, custom estimates for each customer depending on their personal needs. Quality service isn't cheap, but it doesn't have to be unreasonable or expensive either! We pride ourselves on fair and competitive pricing.

I needed a lock rekeyed and it was severely corroded. Esteban fixed it and rekeyed it with new keys. He spent a lot of time doing it right without trying to charge me any more. I was really impressed with their service and the small price I paid to get my lock to work properly.Based on my experience I would recommend their services and really appreciated the fair price that I paid.

Agoura Lock and Key are incredibly dependable service. I have used their services many times.
Twice I needed their help desperately.
I lost an important vintage skeleton key and I couldn't open a dresser. Nick Z is amazing he duplicated the key perfectly using a drawer that wasn't locked!
Another time Nick came to the rescue. A room was locked and we couldn't do anything to open the door. Nick came to my house and in a few minutes opened the door and installed a new lock!
When it comes to locksmiths you really need to have trust.

10/10 would recommend this place to anyone in the area! I needed to get a speciality key blank carved as a gift (specialty as in it was in the shape of a gun, not a traditional key shape). I called about six different locksmiths in the area and they all said they couldn't do it, claiming that I needed to purchase the key directly from them. Most were confused by my request in the first place. Anyway, I was in an out of Agoura Lock and Key within five minutes. And! They did it for free after hearing about my locksmith troubles. Agoura is a bit out of my way but I will definitely be returning

Owner would not cut my key saying the blank I brought in would ruin his cutter.
He recommended Arkco Security in Simi Valley. I drove the 40 miles out there and they cut the key for free. They said it was just a brass key.
NEVER going back here. Had been a happy customer before. It was like they were angry that I brought in my own blank.
I did not ask for any special price....never evena sked how much it would be.

I would typically go to the DIY center when I needed a copy of a key. But I became increasingly frustrated when roughly half of my copies ended up not working and I had to come back to get a new one. Sometimes the new one would still not work as well. Finally someone working at the DIY center suggested I go to Agoura lock and Key. Relatively nearby the DIY center. I was happy to try anything else at this point.
The first copy I ever made at Agoura lock and key worked perfectly. I have now been coming here for a few years and they've never let me down. The people that work here are very kind

Yes, you can get keys made elsewhere but at least here you won't have to walk into a giant warehouse store wandering around aimlessly to find someone to cut a key for you and when they do, you get home to find out it's wrong.
Here - you walk in, have your keys cut right the first time and go about your life.
I wouldn't have it any other way, thank you Agoura Lock & Key!

I just stopped in to ask about a part for my safe. They are extremely helpfull, well beyond the call of duty.
Their customer service and communication skills are excellent/top notch.
Their pricing for services and hardware are more than reasonable.
Very fair pricing.
My time is worth money (it's priceless).
Combined with their phenomenal service and expertise. It works out to be a bargain.
