Often, the original structure of the carbonate rocks are modified during the metamorphism to render the marble unrecognizable from its original state. The swirling and veins in marble often result from mineral impurities which are in layers in the original limestone or dolomite. Granite is normally a coarse grained igneous rock that is comprised of quartz, feldspars and micas.

The quartz will be be the lighter color minerals with the remaining consisting of feldspars and muscovite. The dark minerals are hornblende or biotite. As the name implies it is a countertop product that is made of quartz and resins. Before granite slabs were resined, Engineered Stone had one major advantage over its natural counterpart, it was difficult to stain.

Now with the advent of resined slabs that advantage is gone. The primary difference is the appearance. Man made products come in a large range of consistent colors which do not occur naturally in nature. You often see engineered stone being used in commercial setting or contemporary ones.

Went there today brought my diagram of my kitchen. Brought my back splash tile. to match up my new countertops. Had my grandson with me so the window of time was limited. When i walked in a voice from another room told me she would be with me in a minute So i wait , look around. , still carrying 15 month old grand son. In the meantime time she’s carrying on with someone in the room she was in. Then she tells me she has to write some checks. So i still wait while she is carrying on with whoever is in the room. So i left !!!!! I take my $5000 plus business somewhere that wants to wait on me !!

Buyer beware. Reddick cracked the countertop on install right at the front of the sink area. Reddick's repair made it worse. They refuse to replace the countertop. On install of a 11'x4' countertop, Reddick's on-staff installers cracked the countertop in front of the sink area. They tried to cover it up with joint compound. They did not shim underneath it. They did not tell us about the crack. When we complained to them about the crack, they first denied that it was their issue until we let them know that we could see the joint compound that only their installers would have applied. Then they said
