They first said they could do an inspection in 2 days and they would call back with a time. I called back the next day, they didn't recognize me and said the same thing. Day 3 I call and they flat out said they didn't have time for an inspection. Their quote was twice the amount of other places turns out. Would never recommend that kind of time wasting service to anyone. Never again.

My gas logs were installed in a new house about a year ago. Despite multiple service visits and phone calls, it still does not work correctly. The degree of ineptitude and disregard for providing anything resembling quality service is absolutely staggering. I can't be more clear, I wouldn't recommend this company for anything.

I called this company because my vent free fireplace they installed was heating the wooden mantle so hot we couldn’t touch it and the decorative molding was separating from
The excessive heat. The man I spoke to denies it was improperly installed and said there was nothing they could do to repair it and make it function properly except come put a larger hood on it at my expense. Beware of this company who will not stand behind their workmanship.

Called for an inspection & sweep for a new "to us" home. The guy (really nice person) checked it out (45 mins, mostly just talking though) and said it was fine/looked hardly used. He did NOT sweep the chimney and said the cob webs would burn out on the first fire. Well, they didn't. The house quickly filled with smoke and I'm headed to HD for a brush and extensions to do the job myself. At least he didn't charge for the sweep, but that's why I CALLED THEM!
Now I will at least have the tools $$ to do it again in the future...

I paid $5500 for a wood burning stove wait over three weeks to get it, the guys were nice that came out to install it, and now they need to come out and finish the job, they are avoiding my calls and text messages, I have an expensive stove I can't use, I guess the next step is to call the BBB, or an attorney. Apparently after the sell they don't know you. I would not recommend this company to any body !!!!!

Very expensive overall. The only reasonably priced unit was butt ugly. The older salesman didn't seem to be very motivated, almost as if he thought we couldn't afford what he was selling. We can easily afford it but choose not to pay ridiculous prices.

I entered this establishment on the recommendation of the guy I hired to install the gas logs. The people at Colonial were very unhelpful in fact it felt like we were interrupting their day! He asked "What do you need". I told him of the guy that recommended him.. he replied, "I don't know him". Then i proceeded to tell him what I wanted. He pointed out in the catalog and plugged in the order to the computer. Said it would be 2 weeks. Here I am 2 weeks later, called them, no logs yet, they do not have an eta. Is it me or do you think 1. you would be grateful someone came off the beaten path to
