Fran Yetso Construction

I've used Fran on several occasions and he is definitely honest and does the job right. You won't find any cut corners or rework when you use Fran. He's not always the cheapest but he's definitely cheaper when you have to do rework or deal with cut corners months to years later.

Long overdue 5-star review for Fran Yetso Construction! We had a large addition to our house (adding a second floor and doubling our square footage; almost half a million dollars when all said and done). Looking back, I can't imagine what it would have been like with anyone other than Fran.
When we first started thinking about our project, everyone would tell us "You have to be careful! You can't trust contractors, they'll just take your money and leave and you'll be stuck!" Having been through the process, I can see where all the concern is on both sides: home renovation

We had a gas leak on a holiday weekend and were in a real pinch with pg&e refusing to turn our gas back on until it was fixed. Fran and his guys (Dave) found the leak which was unfortunately beneath the concrete slab along our foundation. Since it wasn't a simple quick fix he gave us several options for repairing it. After choosing the least expensive option they quickly repaired our gas line so that we wouldn't be without hot water and heat.

Fran and his team did a kitchen remodel for us in 2019. He was patient, diligent, and communicative.

Good: We worked on a lot fo the details as the project was going on, so we had several conversations with him about what we wanted and the options available, especially lighting and flooring. He was able to work with us, get us what we wanted aesthetically, while also providing us with the time and financial cost differences of our choices. My neighbors recommended Fran after he helped them remodel their kitchen. When he first came to give a quote on a bathroom addition, it was apparent that he has a lot of experience remodeling homes in the area. We needed the bathroom done within a month, and Fran made sure his guys were there every day to meet the schedule. His crew of Edgar, Cory, and Angel are hard working and respectful. Fran is a very nice guy. He was very prompt and professional. However, he kept assuring us a certain price for his work on our kitchen, but as soon as we gave him the exact details, he doubled the price. We inquired about understanding what changed from his previous quote to the new one and we didn't get a straight answer, but simply a small discount. We decided not to go with him, and thus, unfortunately we had to find someone in the very last minute (within a month) as we were expecting a new born soon.

Our cabinet supplier recommended Fran Yetso Construction as an installation contractor, and we're glad they did! Fran was responsive from the start and provided a detailed and professional estimate. We also contracted Fran to handle all the finish carpentry (and then some) in our home remodel. As a general contractor, Fran has a lot of experience and connections in all aspects of construction. He patiently answered all my questions and gave additional information and options to help me make decisions about our cabinets as well as our doors, trim, and other finish carpentry.

Fran is responsive

I had very good experience with Fran. I wanted to hire him for a window replacement job (new construction installation, not retrofit). He met with me at my home and saw the job. He was very honest and told me that I'd probably save more if I go directly to a local window company. He gave me the name of the company he works with - Able Glass. I interviewed 5 or 6 window installation companies and Able Glass was the best out of all of them so I ended up hiring them.

Yetso Construction was recommended to us and we were very pleased with the results. We had a bathroom remodel, laundry room upgrade, and various small projects that were needing to be done. We originally chose Fran help us remodel an old additon on the back of our house. His team tore down the old dry rot, termite-invested addition quickly and cleanly. As we went through getting the plans approved by the City of Sunnyvale, it turned out that we couldn't remodel the new addition the way we had imagined. (The previous addtion had windows all around. Sunnyvale wanted us to limit the number of windows for insulation, which would cut down tremendously on the view outside).

Fran did a great job when we re-modeled the kitchen in our condo townhouse!
The job involved complete removal and re-construction of all of the cabinets and plumbing. He worked with our cabinet vendor (Demetra Cabinets) and was very meticulous and careful during the assembly. We chose solid maple, so a lot of stuff had to be pre-drilled before it could be attached with screws.
He had to extend a drop ceiling - a tricky job to do properly -- and, again, he did excellent work.
There was also a significant amount of electrical and plumbing work, and Fran did the work properly.
Fran is easy

We used Fran to help redo our decks. We did shop across several vendors and found Fran to be fairly priced (not cheapest but we all know what happens when you pick the lowest cost), most knowledgeable about his trade and is highly dependable.
