The founder and president of Metropolitan Design Group is Jenifer L. Bemis. She is a proud Kent State University graduate; a top-ranked school for interior design where she graduated with honors. At the age of 5, she knew she would be an artist. By middle school it was clear that the art Jenifer wanted to create was interiors.
For the first five years of my career I worked at a historic renovation firm and then with a commercial firm in Cleveland. In 2002 I launched Metropolitan Design Group. In the years since, my projects have taken the company to every corner of the US, as well as all over Canada. After hurricane Katrina, I spent many months there helping a large client rebuild, take inventory, and renovate a total of 32 buildings that were damaged from the storms.
Metropolitan Design Group manages anything from multi-million dollar projects to a one-time consultation. My personal passion is high-end residential projects were I can put my skills to work designing kitchens, baths, custom millwork, and selecting finishes.
