Abbas Taherian, a native of Iran, came to Tennessee in 1974 to attend Middle Tennessee State University. After graduating in 1980, Abbas moved to Nashville where he started his business of Oriental Rug Cleaning and Restoration. He worked hard to build his business and treated every customer with respect while always ensuring he did quality work.
We hand clean your rug with a special imported olive oil soap; no harsh shampoos or chemicals are ever used. We never send rugs to other rug or carpet cleaning services; all rugs are cleaned in our shop that is designed for careful rug cleaning. After your rug is cleaned by hand it is hung to dry inside our shop.
After your rug is evaluated and approved we provide a certification of authenticity & value that is recognized world wide. Getting an expert appraisal on your oriental antique rug is the only way to confirm the rugs "true value". Over time the value will change based on rug industry trends, inflation and rising prices.
Have your knotted-pile rugs professionally washed and moth proofed every two to four years. Abbas Oriental Rug Gallery can do this best outside the home. Many professional rug cleaners don't get your rug thoroughly damp, and the wrong shampoo can make the wool stiff because it dries out the natural oils.

Beautiful collection!! My husband and I set a budget to purchase a staple piece for our first home. Abbas was respectful of our budget and was able to show us multiple great options (instead of showing us more expensive items).

Beautiful rugs and honest opinions offered about your investment. Moved here from Jacksonville with a beautiful old Oushak that needed repairs. I was offered three levels of repairs which were each explained to me in detail. My rug was repaired and cleaned...it is restored and beautiful again.
Have also made some additional purchases to round out re-decorating the condo that I purchased.

We have purchased every rug in our home from Abbas, going back more than 10 years now. There isn't anyone in Nashville that we trust more to help us with our selections as well as the cleaning of our rugs than Abba! We refer all of our friends to Abbas without worry as we know they will be 100% satisfied with their purchase! As long as Abba is in business, he will have ours!
