Bromwell's first act began when Jacob Bromwell, a veteran and former Baltimore resident, founded the store in 1819 after emigrating to Cincinnati. It originally sold supplies to settlers who, just like him, came to the area in the early 1800s. Achieving success in that endeavor, the business grew to manufacture metal goods for the home, such as flour sifters and tin cups.
We provide our clients with a vast selection of gas inserts, wood fireboxes, and stoves, suitable for anyone's style. Varying from traditional, square fireplaces with oak log sets and brick pattern panels, or more contemporary, linear style fireplaces that can be found in sizes ranging from 18 all the way to 9 feet wide.
Direct Vent fireplaces are the best way to create a warm and inviting focal point, without the harmful byproducts of vent free fireplaces. A Direct Vent fireplace uses a completely sealed venting system, which draws fresh air in from outside, while simultaneously exhausting harmful byproducts and combustion gases out of the home.

Love this place! If you're looking to update your fireplace or looking for accessories for your fireplace or mantle there's no better place than Bromwell's. They have full room displays for inspiration. Each piece on display is available for purchase and many are one-of-a-kind. It's easy to to lose track of your time here. So much to look at. They also have a great selection of high-end candles and home gifts.

We were hoping to convert our wood-burning fireplace to a gas one, and are so grateful that we found Bromwells! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional, and answered all of our questions. We did not feel pressured to buy things we did not need, and that was a nice change of pace from other fireplace shops i have visited in the past. Thanks Bromwells we will be back!

Very friendly staff and they have some of the most beautiful home furnishings (fireplaces, home decor, etc) you can imagine. This place is a hidden gem located in downtown Cincinnati. If you get the chance, you have to at least walk in and take a look around. I'm sure you will be impressed by their layout of gorgeous home remodels and additions. Don't forget to head upstairs and take a look around!

Excellent experience at Bromwell's, from the first visit to the customization and installation. Donna has done a stellar job in providing guidance and liaising with the manufacturer. I was also very pleased with the support I received when I had questions about operating the new fireplace, a few months after installation.

There are simply not enough words to express how incredible our experience was with Bromwell's. I knew they had been in business for many years, so when we decided to replace our non-vented fireplace with a vented one, I definitely wanted to include them in our search. But after having spoken to them, there was no doubt who I intended to use. My husband wanted to get at least one more bid, but I was convinced from the onset that we would end up using Bromwell's and we did. Thank God! Wow - what a cool place. From the front window to the main floor all the way to the amazing second floor design galley - this place is something that can put Cincinnati on the map. They sell beautiful fireplaces, fireplace accessories, custom furniture and the most unique gifts. The place looks like the most well design urban flat - like you could just live there. Do yourself a favor and get to know this place for the coolest design aesthetic in town
