Jan Galletly started moving furniture around her mother's apartment almost as soon as she could walk. Her early passion for interior design led her to a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. Jan worked in Interior Design in Southern California for six years before changing gears to pursue a career in technology sales.
Marriage, a move to Northern California, and a growing family kept Jan busy as she rose to the top of her company's sales force where she gained invaluable client relations and organization skills. Fifteen years ago, Jan returned to her true passion. She joined Design Concepts in Alamo, working with clients all around the bay area on design projects of every size and scope.
In 2018, Jan launched Diablo Design Group in downtown Danville, serving both the residential and commercial marketplace. Jan Galletly is one of the Principle Designers and founding members of Diablo Design Group, a full-service interior design firm located in beautiful downtown Danville.

I explore every corner of my clients' living spaces to scope out creative possibilities in order to come up with the best use of existing dimensions.

Ya gotta love working with Jan, she is so helpful in letting you know what works and what doesn't work in the design she is helping with. An important skill of hers is "design balance" where she fits the material & product design selection in with the style of the home. In our case, this meant designing fresh new baths, fireplace and kitchen of a '50's rancher so your eye says "nice" without creating a conflict with the classic design of the house.......she did that beautifully. We have seen her work on more modern homes and she hits the design & decor

A friend recommended Jan when I decided to remodel the upstairs of my home (master, office and guest bathroom). It was a big job that included restructuring the space. I am giddy with how it all turned out. It is comfortable, organized, beautiful and timeless which was exactly what I hoped for. Jan had creative ideas and solutions and worked within my budget. When we moved back to the Bay Area a couple years ago, we decided to move back into our place. However, after nearly 10 years and a couple of renters it needed a serious remodel--floors, kitchen, baths. New to the area and frankly the world of remodel, we needed design advice, contractors, and general guidance.

My husband and I purchased a new large home and needed to get the entire house furnished, pick out tile, backslash, etc., after interviewing a few decorators we decided Jan would be the woman for the job. She helped decorator almost every room in a extremely timely manner, followed up quickly with every phone call or text and made sure we were a priority. She has a very good eye for EVERYTHING, very to the point and doesn't mess around. She truly knows her stuff! Jan came on the scene later in my home remodel process and made a great impact. Initially, I thought I could handle things on my own but I quickly became overwhelmed. Jan was recommended to me by a friend. At our first meeting she was very professional and easy to talk to. She helped me with paint colors, lighting, tile choices, furniture layout, and furniture and rug choices and more. Any issue or challenge I encountered, she would always have a guy or gal for that. She offered tasteful suggestions without any pressure. In 2016, we reached a point where we either needed to move, or to add another bedroom in our house without being able to add any square footage on our lot. Â Because we loved our neighborhood and location, we decided we would rather remodel than to move into another house. My husband and I started working with Jan 5 years ago. She is very much a "Can do" person with a great eye for what you need. She helped us finish decorating our family room and Master bedroom in Oakland when other decorators left us high and dry. And we loved the results! We have since moved to Alamo where she has helped us in innumerable ways, from bedding to furniture arranging to finally redoing the family room-and once again we love it all.

Jan is amazing and I could not recommend her enough. We found her on Yelp and are so glad that we did. We recently renovated our kitchen. Let's just say that I don't have an "eye" for decorating / planning / envisioning. She helped us to pick countertops, color for our kitchen cabinets and confirmed my hunch for the backsplash. She has a very good eye and terrific ideas.

I could not recommend Jan more highly! My husband and I bought our first house in Walnut Creek about 1 year ago. Jan had recently designed the 2 bathrooms and Master in the house we bought, and we loved the work so much that we decided to work with her for our minor remodel and major design needs. The best in the business !! Worked with many interior designers over the years, especially in my closet/cabinetry business. Jan is extremely knowledgable, stays connected with her clients and is about the only interior designer that fully understands how contractors work. She is always on target with budget constraints and the ever changing construction schedules that we have to deal with. I know ahead of time when I work with Jan, that the job will go routinely smooth. If you want to work with a seasoned professional interior designer...hands down...she's the one.

My wife and I met Jan almost 3 years ago as we were moving from the East Coast to San Ramon to a house that was yet to be built. We were moving no furniture, so we had to pick out all new furniture along with all of the customized things in the house, floor materials, counter tops, window treatments, landscaping, etc.
