Repairing and rebuilding chimneys and fireplaces in the greater Seattle and surrounding areas since 1950. We have worked through all of the technological changes in home heating systems throughout the years and have learned how to solve problems resulting from installing new high-tech heating appliances into old chimney venting systems. From installing metal liners in masonry chimneys to installing metal chimneys, we can solve all problems related to heating system venting.
Services
Wouldn't you want your chimney repaired and cleaned by a reputable company? At Superior Chimney we do not use your request for an estimate on your chimney as a way to get to your home and sell you more goods and services. Our intent is to thoroughly clean your chimney from top to bottom. This takes about an hour from the time we arrive and get set up to clean one flue.
Imagine how much water would come into your home during a rainstorm if you had a hole in your roof twelve inches square. Chimney flues may be even larger than that, so where does all that water go? It runs down the chimney and seeps into the bricks and mortar, settling behind the firebricks. There is little air circulation in the chimney (unless you're using it) and no sunlight, so the inside of the chimney stays wet long after the rain stops.
The way your chimney and roof are connected (the roof flashing) needs to create a waterproof barrier. We can make sure this transition between your chimney and roof doesn't leak - and if necessary install new flashing or repair your old flashing. Superior Chimney offers a full range of repair services for both masonry and prefabricated fireplaces and chimneys.
I called around for estimates on repair. After speaking with Superior Chimney Service, not only was I comfortable with their customer service and knowledge, but impressed that their prices were extremely competitive. I am happy to say that my family and I enjoy many evenings in front of our warm fireplace now thanks to Superior Chimney.

I don't give many one-star reviews and do not take them lightly since they can affect a person's livelihood. Just the facts...
Mike said he could look at my issue Thursday afternoon and would call before coming over. He never called and he never showed up. This is unfortunate because it's hard to trust someone who doesn't do what they say they're going to do.

They removed my unused furnace chimney. They were on time, professional, clean and fast! It took me 3 months to get brave enough to have my chimney removed. If I would have known how easy and clean they would make it, I would have done it 3 months ago! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Knows his trade, does good work. Polite, clean, safe.
Having said that, there are still a few problems. First off, the business owner might just ask to be paid in full before he's finished. Second, he's under the mistaken impression that being busy (even REALLY busy) makes it okay not to return calls from customers who have already paid in full for a job he hasn't finished.
All I can say is: manage this guy right and you'll get good work, even very good work. Don't pay until he's done, get clear details on what he's doing and when he's doing it. And remember, he might just not return your calls

Not good service for sure. I scheduled with him and since hes only 5 minutes from my house I thought it would be nice to use a local company. My Thursday appointment came and went no call from him. I called to see if he was close by he said he forgot and was busy with something and cannot come. And that he forgot about 4 other appointments too and also forgot to call them as well. Trying to give him a break in case it was something serious I decided to ask when his next availability was and he said Saturday at 2:30. At 2:00 pm I texted him to ask him to give me a quick call when he arrived so I

I called last week and spoke with a Mike. Told him our chimney was leaking into the house and needed an estimate. He said he would try to make it out to our place that day and if not he'd call. Never heard from him that day so I waited and called back the next day. Left a message and never heard from him again! I would have appreciated at least a call if he was no longer interested.
