Asphalt shingle roofs are common in Southern California and are the easiest type of roof to install solar panels on. If the roof is ten years old or less, the roof is an excellent candidate for going solar. When the age of the roof is over 10 years, a roof inspection is highly recommended before proceeding with a solar power installation.

Our battery was in shutdown mode because of the LG Chem recall. Our battery was not affected by the recall, but Sullivan shut it down anyway. Then we heard that Sullivan Solar was out of bussiness, luckily we were referred to Josh Lennard at Baker home energy. Josh quickly helped transfer our system to Baker home energy. After receiving confirmation that our battery is safe to operate Josh activated our battery. It is working as expected. I highly recommend you contact Josh if you are in the same situation. Josh was very professional, prompt, and was a joy to work with.

We signed our contract with Sullivan on August 17. The Sullivan representative was responsive and always available to answer emails and calls prior to signing. Well, I've left voice messages, texts, and emails. I can't reach a live person by calling them directly or at the their corporate number. I simply want an update on my project's status and really want the system installed before 2022 when the rates change. They said and did all the right stuff until I signed and gave them my deposit check. Let's see if the business owner will respond since his staff won't.

Wanted to give an update on my situation with Sullivan. As of now, all issues have been resolved. They have even sent me my referral check that I was due. I hope they have resolved all of their past issues and are back on track from a business standpoint. To date, I am very happy with my solar system with no issues with the system.

Revised review: Sullivan Solar promised a $500 referral fee for sending them a new customer. I recommended them to a neighbor, who ended up having problems with their solar system. I feel bad about what happened to my neighbor. Also, despite numerous inquiries, I never received my referral fee. I would recommend going with a more established company.

We are very happy with our Sullivan Solar Power system. It has paid for itself in less time than we originally estimated, and we now generating about 85% of the electric energy we use at no cost. With California climate credits, our remaining bill typically has been less than $200 for the entire year.

Called for an estimate and had some specific requirements for the solar estimate (US Made panels, microinverter only, etc.) The person who I spoke with was exceedingly condescending and rude. ("Since you have installed 0 solar panels and we have installed over 7000 we should know better") He did not explain why I should do what he was suggesting, just that he knew more than me (very probable) and that I knew nothing. I feel badly for leaving a poor review since the company is obviously struggling and this is all before So Cal started shutting down due to Coronavirus However I feel it may be one of the only ways to actually escalate my issues and get a response.

I really loved the salesman and the install team. The process was great until the installation was complete. Since that time, I have had multiple problems with the system. With the most recent issue, I have followed up with three different people over three weeks and can't get them to return an email or call. Really disappointing.

Do not hire them! Currently a lien is being filed on my house because they have not paid their subcontractors (we paid Sullivan fully). I was told we are not the only ones experiencing this. Not only that but they don't answer their phone and don't call you back. I've called about 6 people in the company now, even tried to reach out to the president. I honestly wasn't thrilled with the service before this final horrible experience, they were unresponsive for months and we had to nag them to see if installation was still happening. Installation just completed on our two-story house and we are very impressed with the outstanding service and high level of professionalism exhibited by all of the employees that were part of this project.
From the first meeting until the final handshake, we are very happy to highly recommend this company to our neighbors and friends.

Year two complete and our system is still generating power as designed. It is so awesome to be able to run our air conditioner when ever we want without worrying about our electric bill. We just received our true up bill from SCE and we are happy to say that they owed us once again. The LG battery installed with our system has kept our refrigerator running during planned and unplanned grid interruptions.
The customer service is great as well. We wanted to change the battery profile because we banked way too much energy with Edison. We wanted to stop sending stored power to the grid during off

I strongly recommend Sullivan Solar. I looked at 6 different companies and Sullivan was the best in price, incentives, and customer service. Josh Daguman came and did the assessment and he was so thorough. James McKnight was the project manager- he was very good at communicating and oversaw the project on time. I had to do absolutely nothing once I signed my contract. So easy. Now I have this cool app to monitor my panels and it couldn't be easier.

The installation took place in just 1 day! All the service guys were friendly and kept me updated with their progress.
After the installation the Sullivan team kept me informed with how the panels work and how to interpret the readings. Overall highly recommend for any homeowner that's looking to upgrade their home. They know their stuff!

I bought my house almost 2 years ago. Original 1971 fixer upper. No AC- and let's face it could use a new furnace and a good rewiring.
In the first year I got the AC/furnace combo replaced - right about the same time as the SDGE substation was being redone- so my electric didn't double- it tripled or more.
Year 2 of money bleeding - I happened to go to my aunts house. She had done lots of research and ended up with Sullivan.
They interviewed Tesla, and Sullivan and one other and chose Sullivan over all.
So I decided to give them a call

Received numerous quotes on getting solar for our house and Sullivan Solar was the most professional of the other companies by far. Put 18 panels on my roof and from start to finish Sullivan Solar far exceeded our expectations. Tyler is our sales rep and he communicated everything from the start to finish. Dave was our technical lead and he was extremely professional through out the process. Every worker was polite and worked in a very safe manner.

The performance of this company is spot on. Savings calculated were accurate. Professional installations and support for both home and business. My home system has not only paid for itself since 2013, but how cool is it to show neighbors monthly power company credits instead of bills. Federal tax credit for our business system exceeded $100,000 in 2016 and more to come in 2017.
