Of all the contractors I've used on my 1906 house, and all the projects I've done, Collins ranks at the bottom. They delivered and installed the wrong doors and took multiple installations to get it right. I noticed a few months after the job that many of the bolts were loosening and parts were falling off and getting lost. When I called their office they asked me for the "part numbers" for the missing items since they didn't have room to keep files on their customers. A few months ago a piece of wood they had installed at the top of the garage wall to attach the cables broke loose. I checked it

Fantastic service. Had a broken pulley in my residential garage. Call them up first thing in the morning, they quoted a reasonable price and said they could have someone here by the afternoon. The repairman called around 1 to say he was about 45 minutes away, then again 45 minutes later to say he was here. Had the pulley fixed and the whole system realigned and re-greased within 20 minutes. The door works perfectly now. And the work came in under the original estimate!
I'm thinking of replacing the door itself this summer, if I do I'll definitely be going back to Collins.

Have used Collins Overhead Door on a couple of occasions.
Had an emergency with our garage door today ,the whole process was a pleasure from the initial call yesterday late afternoon to the office the return call this morning to set up the appointment. The employee who showed up was great ,looked at what needed to be done made the repair and saved us a bunch of money. it is nice to know there are still reputable company's out there. They also took all precautions with PPE gear because of Covid 19.

If you like poor customer service and poor quality work, call these guys. They gave me wrong parts and used parts and left a mess and holes in the ceiling of the garage. After several calls and a request for different employees they send the same 2 people back to fix it. Never called to say they were coming . Not recommended!!!

Perfect transaction! Our garage door would not open yesterday morning. I called Collins in the afternoon and they repaired the problem this morning. The communication was great and the technician (David, I think) was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. Really nice guy. Great service and reasonably priced. I have hired this company more then once to work on several properties. Today we had an emergency. We called Collins, the tech was named Bob. They showed up within an hour and did a very good job. Employees are rude and hostile. Drug addicts working and driving their trucks. Definitely wouldn’t recommend with them being so unpredictable and unpleasant. If you have kids please be careful. Couldn’t tell you about their work as their gross attitude and craziness will drive you away way before getting service. Beware and be very careful definitely would seek other options. They are overpriced and quote you way off of actual price. Not to mention they are slobs throw stuff everywhere they won’t clean after themselves and their jobs are mediocre. Thank me later ❤️

Just had my garage door serviced by Collins Overhead Door Inc. The cables had snapped and needless to say, the garage door wouldn't open. Called them yesterday at about 7:30 pm and they were here at around 2:00 pm today. Rick and his colleague fixed it in 30-45 minutes and did a good job. The overall service charge seemed reasonable and the entire process was seamless.

Customer service for Parts Sucks went to buy a nylon gear for the motor and the lady looked in 3 drawers that looked like spare Parts with open bags and said no we don't have it look in Google ! Didn't even say hey let me check in the huge wear house that we have down stirs to see if I can help you Out now I know who NOT to call for a New Garage door witch I was thinking of replacing soon !! They should step up the customer service and parts service witch 100% Sucks !!

Collins took my call and we set a time for a technician to come over. A friendly technician came right on time at 8 AM (the very start of the window for their arrival) and heard my issues with my garage door not closing, and now, barely operating. He ended up figuring out the issue was the limiter (or something similar sounding haha) and popped a new one in and it was fixed instantly. The service fee and part were VERY reasonable and I appreciated the help. He was even friendly with my new puppy and dealt with me needing to take her for a walk around front during the repair. I highly recommend

Our garage door stopped working late on a Friday afternoon. My husband was pretty sure he figured out it was a faulty part. He contacted Collins Overhead Door since they were listed as a supplier for the part he needed. The guys who helped him over the phone were SUPER helpful. I went over to Everett to pick up the part, and the people there took their time to explain to me how to connect it up. We found Collins Overhead Door from reviews on Yelp (thank you Yelp!). My husband emailed them a picture of the problem, so they knew what to expect when they got here. Josh came right out during the time stated. He did a thorough job. He was very clean and neat. The door was repaired and adjusted. It is working better then it did when it was brand new. Very pleased with Collins Overhead Door. They took a credit card and promptly mailed a receipt.

We were recently in need of replacing to old wooden garage doors at our house in Somerville, Mass. We found Collins Overhead Door Inc on the inter search They responded very quickly to our inguiry Kerry Collins made an inspection and sent us an estimate on our needs No up selling was involved We signed the contract gave our deposit and the doors were installed as promised A small hitch w/the doors being a bit too small but this was handled quickly w/no additional costs to us it was a clean job and the site was left broom clean for us. i would recommend them on quality service, product
