I cannot say enough good things about JC Merritt. They tackled many challenges in building our dream garage and walked us through each step explaining everything. Excellent communication throughout the building process and there were no surprises. Friendly, knowledgeable and local. Could not have asked for a better experience.

I had JC Merritt come out to Chestnut Grove in New Milford to fix some drainage issues we were having. They were very professional and worked everything out. We have no more issues and I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend JC Merritt, they will work with you to fix any issue you may have!

I had somebody come look at an issue with a support beam in my basement, but never got an estimate. I called to request it again, but never got a call back.
I tried them again regarding a damaged secondary building on my property and, again, NEVER got a call back.
Perhaps they were too busy or found the job too small for their interest, but it doesn't take away their BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE of not returning calls and acknowledging clients' requests.
Will never waste my time again with them. Don't waste yours.

J.C. Merritt has been our go to contractor for all of my home needs since I purchased my home. We have a vision and they make it happen. They are ethical and reliable. Being in the trades, I have high standards for anyone doing work at my residence, and their company not only meets, but exceeds my standards. We are extremely happy with the work JC Merritt Inc did for us at our summer cottage. They managed to update our kitchen and bath and maintain the cottage feel of our third generation, home away from home. The workmanship was excellent and everything was done on time and within budget! We do not live nearby so we needed someone trustworthy. Jeff, Brandon and Trevor were great at communicating and letting us know whenever an issue came up or a decision had to be made. Everyone we met was highly skilled, professional and just seemed like nice people! I highly recommend them to anyone needing work

We used JC Merritt to solve a long-standing issue with a wet basement. The new French drain lives up to their promise of a dry basement! They are truly professional, honest, friendly, hard working and frankly the kind of people to invite to dinner once the project is done! We hope to use them again in the future to solve more of our “old house issues”.
