He charged me $100.00 just to walk in the door. He said it was for him to shower that morning and gas to get to my house. Should have been my first clue, a contractor who charges for the privilege of bidding for his services. Regardless, I needed drapes immediately so I agreed. After two weeks he still had not given me the detailed estimate for the requested work. His assistant said the decorator was on vacation. Wait? Isn’t Giovanni the decorator? Why wasn’t this told to me that day? I sensed too many warning flags so I decided to go with someone who gave me an estimate the day they were in
