We call it the "drop arm" and it's a spring loaded retractable window awning that comes in all shapes and sizes.
Stationary Awnings have been around for centuries because sun protection, shade, and shelter have been a need for centuries. Our stationary product line is built by U.S.A workers with U.S.A. components for long lasting shade and shelter solutions. Our custom awnings are tailored for each client's needs and preferences.
Solar screens engineered for exterior roller shade applications is a full basketweave vinyl-coated polyester fabric that is thinner and lighter weight than traditional SunTex. SK Screens also offer increased heat and glare control as well as daytime privacy. SK exterior shading fabric is pet resistant, mildew and fade resistant, and needs only an occasional cleaning with mild soap and water.
Sometimes awnings can't be incorporated into the retractable shading needs of your home and an exterior screen is a great alternative. These newer products will also keep your home cooler, literally. I highly recommend Awning FX. We had their company replace the Sunbrella fabric on our older awnings after 20+ years and we most recently worked with them to design and install a new awning to fit over our daughter’s bedroom. Professional all the way. The salesman Pat was knowledgeable and great to work with as were the installers!

I needed some awning mounting brackets so I stopped by the store. Although the showroom was closed due to Coronavirus one of the employees saw me in the parking lot and was nice enough to come out to help me. Sold me what I needed for about half price of anyone else. Like many businesses these guys are struggling with the corona scare and would appreciate your business.

To be honest, what made me call Awning FX was the owner’s response to an earlier review. Hearing that he stopped servicing a 20 year account because his employees were being mistreated by the client is touching and honorable - I knew this would be the company for me.
I was so pleased with every easy step of this process. Bryan, the account exec, was so lovely and professional. He came to give me an estimate a few days after our initial phone conversation. The only reason I'm giving two stars is they did call me back. I was told that they would send some pictures to me of what I was looking for. I never saw an email or heard from them. I called them numerous times to follow up and was never able to speak with someone directly. I always got an answer machine. Never called me back.

Everyone on the AwningFX team (Pat, Diane, Jennifer, Doug and installers Tony and Hector) served us well from beginning to end - estimate, preparing documentation for HOA approval, scheduling installation and follow-up to questions after installation. Awning FX recently completed a pretty large deck covering for my business Kitchen Sink in Beacon NY and did an outstanding job. They were easy to deal with and highly professional. After coming to take measurements they completed the job in two half days one for installing the frame and one to attach the covering. If you're looking for someone to build you a custom awning and do it right the first time these are your guys!
