Brought my Mini Cooper here after it was making some unusually loud noises...turns out I was in need of a new alternator. Billy was extremely transparent about his pricing and easy to get in touch with. In an industry that gets a lot of heat for overcharging, I'm so thankful to have found Uptown Imports. I will definitely be bringing my Mini back there for any future problems. Thank you!

Mid June 2021 I was visiting NO .My C class Mercedes needed a tire sensor. Mr Schoen took my vehicle into the shop Monday morning and a few hours later the job was completed. The price was good and the service was top notch. Having car trouble when you're traveling alone can be very stressful, but Uptown Imports made the experience easy . Thank you Billie❣️

I considered deducting a star for what felt like a very steep price for an oil change ($260ish), but when you buy a specialty car, you should expect to pay specialty service prices. The friendly, efficient customer service and clean, comfortable facility is all worthy of a solid five-star rating. Bill, the owner was extremely pleasant to work with from initial appointment call, to vehicle drop off to vehicle pick up, which was even quicker than promised. Definitely the kind of guy with whom you'd like to do business... even if you may pay a little more.

Have been doing business with Billy for many years and have always been very satisfied with his service work and sales(bought my current vehicle from uptown imports). Billy is honest and knowledgeable...which takes the stress out of keeping my vehicles maintained and repaired when needed. My sales experience was top notch too! Thanks Uptown Imports

This place is great! I
Took my 2013 E 350 Mercedes convertible in. It had some noise problems coming from a wheel. I love cars but am not mechanically inclined. The owner could have told me anything and I wouldn't have known the difference. He found a simpler fix and the car is riding like it just rolled off the lot. I could not be more pleased.
He will certainly be my mechanic for now on.

Took my c230 in to get the hood release chord fixed. Picked up my car and although the hood release chord was fixed the windshield wipers and fluid were not working and the hood sensor was permanently on. Called them to have them fix what they broke and they said it would be a few weeks before they could get it in and I would have to pay for anything that needs replacing ALTHOUGH everything worked fine when I dropped it off. Better off taking your car to the dealership or firestone because they don't know what they're doing!

I brought my 09 Mini Cooper here about a year ago for overheating. Mechanic was great, worked with my warranty, fixed the water pump and the thermostat.
About 6 months later I brought the car back in because the check engine light was on and it was acting funny. I dropped it off and asked them to call me when they figured out what was wrong. After calling several times I showed up trying to see what was up. They informed me that they already ordered the part and were going to fix it tomorrow. I got upset because I didn’t authorize this and no one had told me anything when I had called. I told

I was over-quoted more than $150 for a simple part on my mini cooper. After they quoted , me I called O'reilly to verify the price, and the sales associate informed me that the price I was given was unmistakably and ostensibly high. They deal directly through new orleans auto parts shops (autozone, etc.), but will charge you almost double what the parts actually cost. Additionally, they keep your car extra hours and lie about the number of hours in labor in costs to fix the issue. I was quoted 3.5 hours of labor for a 30min fix. NEVER COME HERE. They deal in overzealous quotes, malicious lies

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! DO NOT COME HERE! THIS IS A SCAM. I was lied to every step of the way. I brought in my mini cooper to get the O2 sensor replaced and they quoted me $325 for the part and said that was the lowest they could go and they go directly through auto zone for parts. I called auto zone on Earhart to get a quote on the part and they told me it was $180. I then called back and told her that they were uncharging me and they said "We can work with $180". Five hours later they told me that the part was no good and that they would have to overnight ship it from Texas. I asked

I had just bought my Volvo used and brought it for an oil change and to check up on the rest of the car. They called me saying they found I needed rear breaks and rotor replacement. They quoted me at around $500 for this. I told them I'd wait to get that fixed. The oil change, a small light replacement and the check of the car cost over $160. I don't know much about cars, which they obviously knew, but even I thought that was rather high.
Later I brought my car to the Midas on Canal street to see if they could do it for cheaper. Not only would it have been cheaper but they said all my

Will never go there again. Was hesitant at first due to the reviews but had to find out for myself. Terrible dishonest service relating to a battery which was under warranty for free repacement not to mention the 1 hr. labor charge to put a battery in along with a bulb. Very high prices. Would of been cheaper to have gone to the dealer like I will do next time. These people are ignorant to the materials they sell and the warranties that come with them. Stay away.

Brought in my 2002 Saab for some work. Turned out to need some major repairs that they were not able to handle at the time. However, they were willing to chat with me about my options, helped me look into other places I could take my car and seemed very honest and reasonable throughout it all. In the end they even ended up charging me substantially less than they originally quoted for the work they were able to do.

Bill's labor is a little higher at Uptown Imports than what Peake charges for older cars (1998 BMW 3-series), and is the same as what they charge for cars less than 10 years old, but he will save you a ton on parts. I also suspect that he will charge you fewer hours than Peake, but that's just a gut feeling. Fully satisfied with all the work he's done for me, and impressed with his speed. I won't go anywhere else, and I recommend Uptown Imports for your German car.

Seem like nice guys but the quality of their work is suspect.
I went in for a coolant flush and the next day the new coolant was leaking out all over my driveway. They happily took it back in to fix the issue free of charge, but as i pulled away the second time i noticed that my check engine light was on and my car was running very rough, so back it went.
I'm left wishing I'm drained the coolant myself or had it done at a jiffy lube rather than open up this can of worms.
