After waiting for over a year, thanks to the pandemic, all of our appliances finally came in. Rob and Joey did an awesome job delivering and professionally installing all four appliances. The prices were very comparable to the big box stores and even better then a discount appliance store. What convinced me to purchase from Southland was the great reviews for there service and sales. When I first contacted Southland Appliance about 6 months ago, they had a 5 star rating...now I see they have gone down a lot. Ed's recording states that "my call is very important to him". Not so!!! His grandson has been out 3 times and my ice maker still doesn't work, It's always been this part or that part, and of course they never have it. I've lost track how much I've given them, probably close to $500 for nothing. Finally, I was able to speak with Ed himself. Ed thought he knew what it was and was going to order the part. That was about 2 1/2 months

I would NEVER use Southland appliance again. I contacted them to repair my ice maker in my bar area when they finely showed up it took 4 months and $550.00 to repair temperature control gauge When

FEBRUARY... They first serviced our stackable washer & dryer at our condo. Andrew SEEMED very attentive at the time. Which I now realize was because he was trying to get us to go into a long term contract with them for repairs to some of the appliances at our condo. Sounded like a good idea as we do not live locally and occasionally rent out the condo. We decided to go for it. My husband paid him almost $1000 upfront. So now, he's scheduled to repair the stackable, but, HE DOES NOT SHOW UP, NOR CALL OR TEXT.

Ed is simply the BEST. My 80 yr old mother's fridge died and she called another "highly-rated" appliance repair company and they charged her $200 for Freon- which leaked out 2 weeks later. When she called them back, they said it would be another $650 for them to fix the leak with no credit for the $200 already paid- a total ripoff taking advantage of her. Service could have been much better. I called to find out if Ed could work on our oven and gave him the error code that was showing. He said yes, set the appointment for a couple of days out between 10 and 12, then completely forgot the appointment. I rearranged my schedule to be home for what turned out to be a no show. I called him back to see what was going on, and after he remembered he apologized and came later in the day (now had to rearrange my afternoon to be at home). Over the phone, he quoted me 72.50 for a house call, then charged me 89.50 and did nothing that he couldn’t have done

Our dishwasher was not working correctly, it wouldn't spray and these guys came in on the same day I called and got it fixed within the promised timeframe. They were very reasonable on the price too. I had Southland Appliance come out today to inspect a burning odor from my dryer. We had lint burning under the and behind the dryer. The technician took the dryer apart and vacuumed out the entire appliance. He said we were lucky that we didn't have a fire. They came and saved the day and possibly our lives.
This isn't the first time they saved me. I am a caterer and was working on a big job when my refrigerator stopped running. They were out within the hour to service my fridge. They saved me hundreds of dollars I would have lost in foods.

Your response is mostly untrue and irresponsible. 1. Your own technician commented that the repair Ed did months ago was done incorrectly. We have suffered with that repair for months. The refrigerator was turned into a total icebox by Ed!s repair. We called 2 days later . He said to give it time to adjust itself . We then called for him to attend to the continued problem . He said he would come out , didn't, then said he did but no one answered the door when he came by . I am home bound mostly and I was there so I can't imagine why the door wasn't answered unless he didn't

On July 11, 2017, I requested that Southland Appliance repair my home gas range. At that time I was advised that the parts were on order but could be somewhat "hard to get".
That did not bother me because even though the house was in escrow and this repair was required for closing, the house wasn't due to close for a month. Plenty of time, right?

I called Southland Appliance regarding a leaking refrigerator which flooded my kitchen and ruined my floor.

Southland was referred by another appliance repair service. My washing machine was rocking and shaking. He saw that a strap was lose fixed, he was here less than 15 mins. Then told us this would not fix the issue probably should go and buy a new machine. My husband asked him several questions about the machine like where the motor was mounted. Charged us $85.00. I was referred to him from another company for a dryer that stopped working. He showed up switched the knobs ( which one was broken so wasn't turning ) it took him all of 30 seconds and said thats $68.50 for the service call!!!

So my washer decided to develop an attitude problem in mid-cycle...it would agitate, but no rinse and no spin!!! There I was, stuck with a washer full of water and clothes not done being washed. In stepped Ed from Southland Appliance...
In less than an hour, Ed had my washer up and running!!! I would definitely call him again, and have already talked with him about coming to fix a problem I am having with my refrigerator.

We have used Southland Appliance for a little over 6 years and have only received quality service! I've gone through washers, dryers, freezers, several fridges (most of them being from GE) and had has been able to fix each one of them with little notice and usually completes the job in the same day. In the case that the parts needed to be ordered, the repair was done within 7 business days which was standard because it takes some time for them to arrive. We have used a company rep in the past and only ended up being dissatisfied over their attempt at a quick fix. Ed, with 40 plus years of experience
