In 2009, Laurel McCarthy began Three Cord Enterprises, Inc. dba Air Doctor based on the principles of integrity, quality service, and family values. She brought the founder of Air Doctor on board for his 20 years of expertise in the HVAC industry and his personal goal to improve indoor air quality to help asthma and allergy sufferers like his children.
According to NADCA, dust, dander, and debris build up in your duct system and are being re-circulated throughout your home about 5 to 7 times a day. These can contribute to lower indoor air quality and may be the cause of other health issues. These contaminants can also lead to a less efficient heating and cooling system.
This could be caused by holes, leaks, disconnected ducts or unbalanced air distribution. Sealing your air ducts can lead to a more comfortable, energy efficient home. According to Energy Star, about 20-30% of the air that moves through your ducts can be getting lost due to these holes or improper connections.
Safety Concerns: lint buildup can block the air flow from your dryer creating high levels of heat that can lead to a fire. Dryer Efficiency: airflow restriction causes your dryer to run longer to dry your clothes putting a toll on your dryer. Energy Savings: decreasing the time it takes to clean your clothes can also decrease your energy bill.
Wondering why your dryer vent clogs up with lint so fast? Your problem may be an incorrectly installed dryer vent exhaust duct! If your vent is not installed properly it may be causing lint to build up at a certain point and even restrict your dryers air flow. If lint is backing up the vent you could very well be susceptible to a dryer fire like the photo to the right.

These folks solved our long-standing problem of a leaky gas dryer vent pipe heating our garage every time we ran the dryer. We tried a couple of handymen, and the problem continued, until we called in the pros at Air Doctor. They were referred to us by Golden Gate Appliance Repair of Daly City. Thanks to all!

This place was awesome. I had gotten a quote that seemed excessive - $200 as a "special" to clean roof vent only. When I called Air Doctor (100% woman owned), I was quoted $175 for both dryer (dryer vent replacement, and vents to roof,) and roof vent.
They came out the next day, and were clean, polite and efficient. Loved them!!!
PS: They also wore masks, gloves, and little blue shoe covers! I felt very, very safe.

Easy to schedule, arrived on time, super polite, and answered all my questions. They were good about keeping masks on and practicing social distancing.
Followup: I had such a good experience with Air Doctor coming to my house that I scheduled them a week later to service a rental in San Francisco. They communicated directly with the tenant on arrival, and maintained proper social distancing and wore masks indoors. The tenant had a good experience and reported they were both polite and even when so far to explain how to clean the lint filter.

I've used Air Dr. multiple times and each time they did a great job. Bryan and Dillon today were timely, professional, thorough, kept my floors clean and gave me some awesome insight and advice regarding sealing gaps behind my intake filter and on the edge of my furnace vent so to keep my interior air clean & interior temperature constant without drawing in cold air from my garage. This company is truly wonderful. They are extremely honest, professional and trustworthy. I called for service to clean out the air ducts because of the fires, soot and dust build up. They checked and discovered that the inside of the ducts were clean and I only needed
to replace the filters. The tech said it was unnecessary and I will not be charged to clean out the vents and returns so they replaced the filters. We recently purchased a manufactured home in Sonoma and as I looked at the heat registers I could tell it had been quite some time since the system had seen professional maintenance. I called Air Doctor and was able to schedule an appointment. When our renovation work was delayed I was able to easily reschedule. we hired The Air Doctor to clean our dryer vent. It has been at least 3 years since we last had it cleaned. We have 3 shedding cats that keep our laundry room pretty busy.
We worry that excessive lint accumulation may lead to a fire so we needed the service as soon as possible. Fortunately, Mary was able to accommodate our request on short-notice before the Xmas holiday.

I originally schedule a duct cleaning 4 weeks ago with a local heating company and my appointment was cancelled due to broken equipment, so I called Air Doctor. I was really lucky since someone had cancelled for today, so I was given the appointment !
Air Doctor came today to clean my 10 vents and heater dust! Vicky and Casey were very thorough and did a fantastic job. They were able to complete the entire job in a little over 2 hours. I now have clean air running through the heater ducts AND the cost for cleaning 10 ducts and my heater was $250 less than the original heating company I tried
