Thousands of plugs of wetland grasses, sedges and herbaceous plants were installed in the constructed wetland. PICP Walks Shown in Construction Allow Stormwater to Percolate through an underlying Gravel Layer and into the Soil. Restaino Design was instrumental in creating the site plan and landscape design for this ambitious green infrastructure project at the Bard College campus in New York's Hudson valley.
Combined sewer overflows or CSO's create water quality problems for rivers in older cities. Restaino Design assisted Ulster Co. DOE in developing this rain garden and subsequently designed bioretention areas and a PICP walk at the edge of the adjoining county parking lot. Both projects enhance urban spaces while addressing stormwater issues.
