Let me start by saying we had never had our trees professionally trimmed before, so this was a new experience. Brian explained the process in a way that made sense to me. We had done some research on the cost before calling Golden Oak. They actually came in under what we had budgeted for, so we were able to get more done than we expected.
They trimmed 11 trees total for us and did a phenomenal job. From the moment I met Brian until the final scoop of clean-up, I couldn't have been more pleased with Brian and his crew.

We hired Golden Oak Tree Service to trim 12 trees and large bushes on our lot that had become overgrown. Brian and his group were very responsive and gave us a fair price. They came at the time promised and cleaned up exceptionally when they were done. We are very happy with the work they completed for us. I highly recommend their services.

Owner exhibited a complete disregard to increased caution around new tree plantings that we were assured would not be touched prior to us accepting the bid. When we communicated our concern he was disrespectful, unaccountable, and failed to modify his approach. This could’ve easily been done by reducing the bundle size to allow enough clearance so the new trees would not be impacted. It might have taken a little more time, but finishing the job as quickly as possible seemed to be the objective.

The guys at Golden Oak did a great job with our trees. One tree needed to be taken down, 3 others trimmed. They worked quickly and did a nice job cleaning up after. They even trimmed the trunk to the exact height my girls requested so that the girls could use the stump as a tea party table.

I had a completely different experience with Golden Oak Tree Service. I had three HUGE cotton woods in my back yard with landscaping around the base of them. James at Golden Oak came out to meet with me and hear about my needs. Basically, I needed the huge trees removed without damaging the house, my neighbors house, or my landscaping. He developed a plan, ensured I was on bored, then executed it well. Each limb of these 95ft high trees were cut and lowered as to prevent damaging the ground. It was a huge Job and they did very well by me.

We had a large walnut tree removed from our backyard in 2017. They did a good job removing the tree. However, the crane severely damaged our front sidewalk. I pointed this out after the service and was ensured it would be taken care of. After speaking to them in person once after they came back for another small repair on the house and contacting them twice through their website I have had no response. This is unacceptable since I will be charged by the city for this repair at some point. Would like to rate them higher but I can’t because of this situation. Maybe after reading this Google review

Had the salesperson out to do a quote. The salesperson was rude and obnoxious. When he asked why I wanted one tree quoted separately and I told him my wife liked the tree in question and we were unsure whether we would take the tree down he said, "I guess I should be talking to her"!
He quoted the first tree at $700.00 and $200.00 for stump grinding, I told him that I just got a quote for $1500.00 for all 3 trees and 4 stump grinding he said "I guess you should go with them then"!
While we were walking the property he took a 5 minute phone call and completely ignored me.

Golden Oak Tree Service trimmed up our big oaks and removed several smaller trees that had become tangled into the undergrowth between the big trees. We also had a small ornamental tree re-shaped to look less out of control. They removed a very large branch that hung over the roof. Service was on time, the cost was reasonable, and the crew very friendly. (By the way, this is a belated review...our trees were trimmed back at the end of January. Sorry for the delay.) I would recommend Golden Oak Tree Service to others.
