Thompson Pools began over 36 years ago, with the building of the Thompson family pool in Statesboro, Georgia. A few friends were interested, so we built one for them as well. This snowballed into a company that was able to fulfill the pool construction and care needs of our community. Thompson Pools & Supplies company grew into a retail, service, and new construction company that still maintains the family feeling of our first built pool.

Can't say. They must be very busy... Waiting for a return phone call.
Update... Called twice now to get an appointment for a quote. Both times was promised a callback. It's been two months now. I'm hearing the pool companies are very busy and not to expect them to be able to start a pool anytime this year.

Called in February to get minor repairs and consult for potential remodeling. Was told I’d get a call within 2 weeks for consult but would be December before work could be done. Never received a call back for anything I asked and now 2 months later. If you’re that backed up, expand. Ridiculous customer service.
Side note: also asked about a cage for the pool and guy said they don’t do that and could not give me any information for someone that does.

I’ve never written a negative public review in my life, but I hope to help others. We had a great first meeting with Joe Thompson in Jan 2020, and gave our deposit to secure our pool installation date as the first of June. It’s been nothing but a hassle ever since. Rescheduling appointments last minute, not calling ahead to say he’d be late, not being timely sending receipts, etc. He always apologized, so we stuck it out, and didn’t complain; people make mistakes, after all. In April, we asked for an update—we wanted to know if we were on schedule, or if the pandemic caused delays. We

We found this business to be very kind and helpful in analyzing our water sample and providing directions to remedy our pool algae. The chemicals were in stock and we were able to start the process immediately. This business also offered to restest water next week at no charge to monitor progress. Thompson Pools (Joe and crew) were absolutely delightful to work with! From the conceptual process, to the dollars and cents, to the permit process, to the construction and wrap-up, Joe and his team made the process nearly seamless. Joe was also instrumental in dealing with a county permit matter, and as a result, we achieved a much better result. Was very upfront about start time, and basically nailed start time as well as completion time. Most importantly, they got me in just in time for the 4th of July! I went on reputation only (didn't shop around at all) and wasn't disappointed. My pool turned out exactly as discussed and is a great looking pool. We are very pleased with Mr. Pat and his team!

When we were ready to put in our pool this past fall, we never spoke with anyone other than Thompson Pools. We knew from their reputation in this area that there was only one pool company to use. They started earlier than anticipated and finished timely. They were always courteous and worked hard to make sure we were well pleased.
