The mission of the American Foundation for the Blind is to create a world of no limits for people who are blind or visually impaired. We mobilize leaders, advance understanding, and champion impactful policies and practices using research and data. Since 1921, AFB has been a leader in expanding possibilities for the nearly 25 million Americans living with vision loss.

What are the technology experiences (training, tools used, required job tasks, barriers, wishes) of workers with visual impairments in the fields of information technology, communications, telemedicine, finance, and banking?
To create a world of no limits for older adults who are blind or visually impaired, AFB is refining and expanding our strategies to transform the experience of aging with a visual impairment. Our research team has surveyed organizations and interviewed individuals to identify current transportation practices and challenges for older people with vision loss.
