If your house was built before 1950, it is indeed just sitting on your concrete foundation. IT IS NOT ATTACHED IN ANY WAY! This means that in even in a small tremor, your house can go sliding off into your driveway. The Mud Sill is the wood that rests directly on top of the foundation. Until the 1950's builders did not often bolt the mud sill to the foundation leaving it vulnerable to sliding as a result of earthquake movements.

Contractors Thousand Oaks completes all the work that was promised in less time than the original estimate. Our project manager was nothing but exceptional. He visited our house many times during the project, he made us feel reassured throughout the entire project and answered all of our questions. I always heard horror stories about contractors but it’s not the case with Contractors Thousand Oaks. I can assure you that they will be our only call when we are ready for our next project!

Amazing!!! These guys are real masters of remodeling. Our designer was great-imaginative and attentive to our vision,which was pretty specific, and our project manager was a real pleasure to work with. The entire staff at Contractors Thousand Oaks is operating at high level of professionalism, Contractors Thousand Oaks is very resonable priced considering the quality of the work, and the fact that they have a full onsite showroom from which to select everything from tiles to shower heads to lighting and cabinetry, saves a lot of time and allows for better designer input on the choice of materials

We hired Steve and his crew to do a total kitchen renovation - and we are extremely happy with them. Steve was honest and straightforward about the cost, so there were no surprises and the work was done efficiently and done well. Everyone was courteous and professional and they didn't get annoyed when we had questions. The job was even finished a few days earlier than Steve estimated - and it turned out perfect.

Contractors Thousand Oaks has made my whole family satisfied. My cousins & my aunt needed some licensed work (people who they can trust) to help them out. They needed some bathroom renovation's and from there it was all just being patient till' the final product was done. It is so beautiful and I am glad that they have gotten what they wanted.
