Established in 1985, we have been providing exquisite hand-made rugs from around the world ever since. It all started when I and a friend took a pick-up truck full of hand-made carpets to sell at The Trader Jack's Flea Market next to Santa Fe Opera in Santa Fe, where we did business for 20 years. Now, we bring our expertise and knowledge about the carpets to Durango establishing our new Showroom 'Durango Rug Company' located at 747 Main Ave Durango, CO.We bring to you an appealing selection of hand-made rugs.
In addition to traditional Oriental designs from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, and Iran we have developed an exclusive line of hand woven rugs which honor traditional Navajo designs, at an affordable price and durable construction meant for daily use.As the weaving tradition slowly disappears throughout the world, we proudly present to you recreations of Native American style rugs, elegantly hand crafted by tribal families in Pakistan.

WOW. This place is a literal treasure. There are so many beautiful, top-quality handmade rugs, pillows and hanging baskets/wall art and other pieces from around the world that it took our breath away. And the overall vibe of the place is the definition of cool. Don't walk by. Stop in and see for yourself just what I'm talking about.

An outstanding experience with the Durango Rug Company! We have a beautiful rug that had been damaged by pets, and it also needed a good cleaning. From the initial contact to pick up, it was just a positive experience! Nadeem, the owner was very helpful in assessing the value of our rug, and making suggestions about how to get it back to looking like new again. He answered all of my questions, and always returned my calls in a timely manner.
My rug is home now, clean and beautiful! The store is a delight for the eyes, and they also carry many accessories. This business is highly recommended, quality

I absolutely LOVE this place!!!! They have most beautiful rugs in any kind of style and color, I love just going down to the store and walking around and seeing what is new. Nadeem and Lisa are so wonderful, they will help you find the perfect rug for your home. Then you'll want pillows, and baskets, and pretty much everything you see. Dgo Rug Co is so great, and even an awesome place to take my friends and family when their visiting, they can always find something unique to the area to remember their trip by. A visit to the Durango Rug Company is a delight to the eye and to the touch. Such lovely rugs in all manner of styles and colors! Mr. Mull, the owner, is so friendly and pleasant and loves to tell you about the rugs - where each is from and how it was made. He can show you rugs to accommodate ANY design style.
Mr. Mull is also most helpful when it comes to repairing rugs, which is the service I recently used. The damaged rug returned to me in EXCELLENT repair - far better than I had hoped!
