Comfort, be it in your home or business, is the ultimate issue. A new furnace and/or air conditioner is a critical part of your system, but think in terms of "the system". The furnace and/or air conditioner, duct system, registers and grills, thermostat, chimney/venting system plus all other items making up "the system" need to be evaluated as part of any heating/cooling equipment change.

Best company out there as far as I am concerned for heating and cooling issues. Deluxe put an Hvac system in for us a few years ago and we couldn't be happier! Peter and his team are fast, responsive, and you can tell they actually care. Glad to know there are still some very good honest businesses in Portland.

I am a retired Realtor so I've worked with numerous contractors over the years. I really like Peter and his employees. They are honest and fair and do professional work.
I recently had his company come out to explore the idea of adding a second heating & cooling system to the different levels of my home, as the temperature varies by upstairs/downstairs. That would have cost around $6,000.
However, John suggested a different solution, involving dampers, and that has solved my problem. Cost: $250.
Thanks for giving me the easiest, least expensive solution.

They are great. Peter has been wonderful taking the time to explain things to me and also what options I might have down the road should I experience another problem with my old furnace. The office people are friendly and helpful as well. I needed service on the weekend and their recording indicated that there were no service people available but Peter came back into town early and called me and was able to come diagnose the problem. The only thing I can say that was disappointing was that no one ever told me about their service contract which would have saved me $90 on the weekend service call

Had a service call. There were a lot of openings even though there's a heat wave, so it was great getting an appointment the same week. It turns out our issue was more a plumbing problem so we had to call a plumber but our technician was super-awesome explaining that to us and provided us a courtesy call. He was great, and we'll be sure to use Deluxe again because of the customer service!

Recently had my furnace serviced and tuned up with Deluxe. Peter came out to my new home, was friendly, knowledgeable, and went as far as to explain the furnace to me in a way that helped me understand and feel comfortable. Not only did Peter do an excellent job, the price I paid was significantly less than other local HVAC companies - I know because I got a number of bids prior to scheduling the service.

Will not be looking anywhere else for my HVAC needs! Very happy with Deluxe and will recommend highly.

Found these guys on Yelp and had a great experience! Both guys that came out to tune up my furnace and fix the intake/outtake pipes were super friendly, knowledgeable, and quick with their work. So glad I found them and will for sure use them again in the future!

I had five bids to take out the oil furnace and convert to gas. Peter was not only the best bid, but the most down to earth salesman. What I was impressed about him was not selling me the most expensive unit, but the most efficient Trane furnace given the size, age, and square footage of the house. He did not try to over sell me on the product, in fact, he dissuaded me from the most expensive unit. His follow up to ensure all was well shows his tact and customer service!

I cannot speak more highly of the two installers, Dale and Nick. They were professional, courteous and kept me informed

This is the email I sent to the homeowner- I should add that they scheduled us in for the next day- super prompt in the busy season!

He was there from 1-3 taking things apart and double checking things that weren't even a problem just to make sure he wouldn't need to come back this year.

There was some water in the tank but it was likely from condensation since the tank is so low and there's enough air in there to introduce moisture. He didn't have to run it for very long before it was back to oil. He said keeping the tank as full as you can is ideal to mitigate that problem

Peter & his team were fantastic from start to finish. Seriously can not speak highly enough for their attention to detail & their above & beyond customer service. They installed a new furnace, duct system, AC & gas fireplace in my house and did an incredible job. Best part get to sleep sound knowing that they are here to help if any issues do arise. They might be slightly more expensive than the competition but worth every penny!!

I worked with Peter on a mini-split heat pump installation for an ADU 2 years ago. He and his team did such a nice job, I brought them back to do a much more complicated installation of the same kind of system on my house. It wrapped up recently and the experience confirms my repeat business. I can't recommend them enough.

Dale and Nick were awesome. They were careful to keep my future construction plans in mind all the way through the installation. Peter was willing to work with me on price as I was willing to remove old unneeded ductwork.

I cannot rate Deluxe Heating & Cooling highly enough. It was a joy and a complete pleasure dealing with this company. Peter and his entire crew (including Dale and Nick) were professional, friendly and they all answered all of my questions and volunteered other information that I would not have thought to ask about ...but which was informative and important to know.

I am a oil-to-gas new customer and my knowledge of natural gas, its benefits and its safety issues were unknown to me. Peter patiently (and I mean really patiently) explained and addressed all of my concerns, anticipated other

Conversion complete!
Deluxe handled NW Natural and they were actually here much earlier than planned, had gas set up prior to installation, so we didn't have to go 10 days without heat.

Goodman furnace is so much more powerful. It blew any funky debris out of the vents and doesn't smell weird like the oil heat did.

Thanks, guys! One inspection to make sure it passes and all is well, and we are good to go.

Looking through these reviews I am confident that you will notice that all recent reviews are and will be 5 stars. I learned that Peter recently (hence the great reviews in the last 12 months) purchased Deluxe Heating & Cooling.

Both homes I have purchased in Portland had the same name on the service tags, "Peter". Apparently he has been in most basements and crawl spaces in the city and beyond. He serviced both of my +60 year old oil furnaces and I've been thrilled with the results

When I sold my rental the new buyers insisted on replacing the oil furnace that just refused

I went weeks without heat because their first installation failed inspection. Rather than explain their crappy work, I will allow it to speak for itself by posting a few photos...

(Note - This is what it looked like even after they returned a second time to fix their original install. The city wasn't happy with their work, and neither am I.)
