At Plant It Earth lawn care is not merely our business, it's our passion. Nothing makes us happier than green grass and healthy trees and shrubs. In addition to adding value to your home, healthy grass, trees and shrubs play an important role in quality of life. A 5000 square foot lawn produces enough oxygen for a family of four annually.
Your lawn and landscape absorb carbon dioxide and produce pure oxygen. Lawns provide a cooling effect equal to tons of air conditioning for your home and filters pollutants contained in the rain. Trees and shrubs provide shade from the sun's infrared heat. Our world would be a much harsher place without the benefits provided our actively growing green spaces.
The Charlotte region is located in the transition growing zone. In our area you will see northern (cool season) grass types like Tall Fescue and Ryegrass and southern (warm season) grass types like Bermuda and Zoysia growing side by side. You will see northern ornamentals like holly and laurel in the same landscape with southern ornamentals like crape myrtle, azalea and magnolia.

Services
Professional lawn care began in the late 60's in Ohio. It was founded on the premise that trained and motivated employees would provide excellent service to their customers which would in turn produce the anticipated financial results. This win-win-win model was embraced by the industry for many years.
How long after a treatment should I wait before allowing my children or pets on the lawn? Allow the treatment to dry before allowing children or pets back out on the lawn. What if I notice a problem or have a concern between applications? Service calls are free. Just notify us and we will respond within 48 hours to resolve the issue.
At Plant It Earth we utilize liquid and granular fertilizers determined by grass type, soil moisture and temperatures. We combine traditional and natural organic blends to keep the lawn healthy and green. Our agronomists and technicians have the expertise to determine the proper ratios and rates of the essential nutrients on Charlotte's many grass types, soil conditions and varied weather patterns.
Plant It Earth offers a wide range of services to keep your trees and shrubs as healthy as we keep your lawn. Charlotte area landscapes contain both northern plants and southern plants. Living in the transitional growth zone brings with it many challenges. Insects like scale, lace bugs and web worms cause extensive damage to planted ornamentals.
Plant It Earth Charlotte is not a licensed irrigation contractor in North Carolina and we do not install new irrigation systems. We will be glad to give you the contact information for PureGreen and Looper Landscaping for your new system needs. We can help with broken/leaking heads, head coverage adjustments and setting up the controller for proper frequency and duration of the watering cycle based on grass type and season.

PIE was doing a good job and I was happy with service until I found out they refuse to service my property. I called last year after aerating and seeding myself and asked they do not apply last treatment since I had done all the fertilizer and line needed. Person I spoke to didn’t relay the message - she is no longer employed- however owner refuses to service me or talk about situation. So they serviced when I asked not to - and since we couldn’t come to terms on the last payment - they would prefer not to remediate or agree on next steps.

We have used PIE for over 2 years and are greatly dissatisfied- first year was great then it's gone drastically downhill. Our backyard was very green and healthy in the spring, but is currently in terrible shape due to missed applications by PIE (our irrigation is fine). PIE keeps changing stories as to how this happened, but are still charging us for treatments/will charge us for overseeding to fix their mistakes, even though they admitted they forgot to spray our backyard which resulted in our lawn dying. This is not standing by their customer satisfaction guarantee. The pictures are what my

I finally spoke to a lady today after several attempts, I left messages and got no call back from them for the past 2 weeks. I hired them and have been with them for over 4 years and I guess now they are deciding not to service our lawn anymore? no reason or prior notice until today then I spoke to this lady on the phone. All she could tell me is that the owner sent me a letter? which I have not received...she couldn't tell me what the letter said. I am guessing since I was one of their starting clients only paying $61 per treatment. I am guessing this rate is to low for them and they no longer

This company does a fantastic job and I would highly recommend. If I need a reapray they don't question it... Just come out and exceed my expectations. With that said... The lady who answers the phone is the only thing that is holding the company back from being great. I had to call 3 separate times over 2 weeks asking her to get me setup. Each time she said she was still checking with "mike" and that she would call me back. She never called me back. If I hadn't really wanted to use PIE I would of absolutley just moved onto a company that wanted my business. If PIE is reading this you seriously

Last spring/summer I asked that they treat the front and back yard... after reviewing my outdoor cameras they only treated the front yard on three different occasions. I called and asked the lady at their office, she stated “yes, it is noted on the account, so they did treat it.” After I told her I have cameras and I didn’t see where anyone accessed my back yard, she said someone will be out today. A person showed up, sprayed the back yard, and left... never saying anything to me. The next service came around and the same thing. (Didn’t spray the back yard); I repeated the same steps. The

The first six months they did a very nice job taking care of my yard. Last week I noticed that they yard did not look great and I had a weed issue. Called the office on Monday and spoke with Bonnie. She let me know that the regular service was scheduled for this Wednesday. Great. They did not show on Wednesday. Called Thursday afternoon and spoke to Bonnie again. Both she and a man in the background did not know why the technician did not show but said she would call me right back. That never happened. Called today (Friday) around 2pm and spoke to Bonnie yet again. She let me know that Mark never

Terrible customer service. I tried them out for 4 years and got suckered by their excuses (e.g., too hot, too cold, not enough rain, too much rain) and promises (e.g., we can fix this and make your yard beautiful, blah, blah, blah). Every year, my yards turns into nothing but weeds. This spring, I called them several times reminding them to come out to stay on top of things (still, no service since February). Finally they come out in mid-June and said they couldn't service because the dog was out. This could have been avoided if they showed up when they originally promised or if they gave some

We hired PIE based on recommendations from our neighbors. We have Bermuda sod and have had weed issues from day one. I noticed an issue with deadspots last year when we began using PIE. I was informed by the technician (Mike) that we had spring dead spots and that it would take a full year cycle to begin to remedy. This spring, as our grass began to come out of dormancy, we began to notice that this condition was much worse and had spread to around 60% of our lawn now. I contacted PIE to explain that their current method does not appear to be working. Mike was extremely rude and confrontational
