We purchased our home in 2015 and as part of our escrow we had the chimney inspected by Grand Old Chimney. They told us we needed a new liner installed and gave us a bid, but the sellers got a lower bid from Chico Fireplace and Wood Stove so they used them for the repairs instead. They put in a new liner and all seemed well.

Chico's Fireplace & Woodstove came to my house to give my gas fireplace a yearly inspection and cleaning. Despite a false start with an appointment that didnt happen, they were eager to make things right and rescheduled according to my availability. The gentleman arrived on time, giving me a heads up phone call 30 min before arrival. He was pleasant, trustworthy and knowledgeable.
My fireplace was really dusty and the glass front needed a deep cleaning. He was able to do it to my satisfaction. I asked a few questions about how the fireplace operates and he was able to explain in detail

I'd give it no stars if I could, however here is my story-- Abridged without as much personal agitation as possible...
We ordered a stove & liner for another stove on a Friday (a stove they had in showroom), due to permit issues, we cancelled the stove on the following Monday.
We however kept the plans to install the liner for another stove as scheduled.
It took 2 weeks longer for the liner to arrive & book the install as stated.
My husband tried to call & connect with them on multiple occasions, (we had already made a payment), finally resorting to physically walking through

The guys at Chico Fireplace are very nice and friendly. We bought a fireplace xtrordinair. We love the wood burning stove, works great and looks great.
The problem we came across was the installation. The guys did not have all the materials needed to complete the job, so it took a couple of days and trips to complete. The stove was working fine till I was out of town and got a phone call from my wife at 3 am telling me the carbon monoxide detector was going off. The guys came back out, pulled the stove out (its an insert), flue pipe was not connected properly. They reattached the flue while I

These guys are the best! They have the biggest selection of woodstoves around. They're always busy when I come in but are always able and willing to go above and beyond to help me out. I love being greeted with a smile and friendly face!
Thanks for helping answer all my questions about the gas stoves. I alwasy grew up thinking fire burning was the only way to go (a part of me still thinks so) but was blown away by all the positive things they said about the gas stove.

I was referred to Chico Fireplaces by a contractor that’s been working on our house. He said to head over to what looks like a hole in the wall place off esplanadae and that the guys over there would take good care of me. Melissa too, if she was there.
If I wasn’t looking for the place, I would have missed it but the signage made it easy to find and I grabbed a spot up front. At first it did look rather small but then I walked in and it was a huge space with beautiful pieces.
I had done plenty of research and narrowed down the two brands I was really interested in, Lopi and fireplacextrordinair

If you're driving on esplanade and are going too fast, you'll pass this place. I almost drove by it the first time but luckily the big sign and street flags caught my eye, so I was able to catch it.

The only reason I am giving Lambert's one star is because you can't do no star. They were the most incompetent business I have ever dealt with. The product they supplied us was fine, but their installation and follow-up was worse than awful. After installing, when they came to turn the fireplace on, which took forever because it coincided with hunting season, the young man refused to turn it on saying the installation was unsafe--- it was his boss who had installed it!!!!!!
